Let me ask you something.

Have you ever found yourself in a relationship where, suddenly, the other person’s desires became more important than your own?

Maybe it started small. A restaurant you didn’t really want to go to. A movie you hated but pretended to like. Or maybe it was that time you took a cigarette from a friend—even though you detested smoking—just because you were so hooked on his vibe, his jokes, his energy, that for a split second, his desire became yours.

It happens fast.

You wake up one day and realize it’s been two years. Two years of going where your partner wants. Two years of silencing your intuition. Two years of prioritizing their comfort over your truth.

You didn’t do it because you were forced with a gun to your head. You did it because you allowed it. You slipped into the role of the “nice guy” or the “good girl.”

And here is the brutal truth: You are losing yourself.

We need to talk about this. Because most of us are oscillating between two extremes that are killing our spirit, and we don’t even see the third option.

Image 1

The Pendulum of Pain: Absorption vs. Isolation

When we talk about relationships—whether it’s with a lover, a parent, or even society itself—most of us fall into one of two traps.

Trap #1 is Absorption.

This is where you dissolve. You merge so completely that you lose your shape. You become the “follower,” dependent on the energy of the leader. You lose your purpose, your direction, and eventually, you lose your connection to your own emotions. You stop knowing if you like that jacket, or if you only stopped liking it because she made a face when you walked out of the dressing room.

The result? Emptiness. You give and give, expecting it to be enough, but you always arrive at a place of void. Why? Because you are serving purposes that are not yours.

Trap #2 is Isolation.

This is usually the reaction to Trap #1. You get burned. You realize you lost your freedom. So you swing to the other extreme. You say, “Relationships are dangerous. Intimacy steals my freedom. Screw this.”

So you build walls. You might still be in a relationship physically—co-living, paying bills together, sharing a fridge—but emotionally? You are gone. There is no intimacy. There is no connection. You are safe, yes. But you are also dead inside.

We tend to think these are the only choices: Lose yourself in love, or protect yourself in loneliness.

But they are just two sides of the same coin: Fear.

Image 2

The Great Lie We’ve Been Sold

Why do we do this? Why is it so hard to find the middle ground?

Because we have bought into a fundamental lie about what relationships are for.

Society, movies, and songs have conditioned us to believe that the Relationship is the goal. That the partner is the destination. That the self must serve the relationship to keep it alive.

We put the relationship on a pedestal and sacrifice the Self at its altar.

We have it upside down.

The existential truth is this: The purpose of a relationship is NOT the relationship.

The purpose of a relationship is YOU.

The relationship is a sacred tool, a mirror, a door designed to help you rediscover your Being. When two people meet, it is an opportunity for consciousness to awaken, not for consciousness to go to sleep.

When you make the relationship more important than your own Soul, you lose the very thing that makes the relationship valuable: Your unique essence.

Image 3

The Mechanism: The River and The Roots

To understand why we lose ourselves, you have to understand a fundamental law of this reality: Energetic Gravity.

If you stop cultivating your consciousness, your connection to your Being doesn’t stay still; it fades away. In Shamanism, we call this the “River of Life.”

The current of this world is always pulling you down—toward unconsciousness, toward distraction, toward adopting someone else’s purpose. If you don’t actively swim, the water takes you. This is why we get lost so easily in the city, surrounded by noise, comfort, and screens. We become volatile. We have no roots.

So when a strong personality or a new relationship enters our life, that “gravity” sweeps us away.

Compare this to the people I meet on our pilgrimages to the Amazon jungle. These people are grounded. They are so connected to the earth, to their bodies, and to their sensations that they have their own weight. You cannot just push them over with an idea or a joke.

They don’t need mental walls to protect themselves because they have Roots.

To stop losing yourself, you must cultivate this “weight.” You must be so filled with your own Purpose, your own Desire, and your own Truth that there is no space left for you to be invaded by another’s agenda.

When you are connected to your true desire—that hunger for life, that passion in your gut—boundaries happen spontaneously. You don’t have to “think” about saying no. Your Being simply rejects what does not align with it, naturally, just as the body rejects bad food.

But… Won’t This Create Conflict?

This is the question that keeps everyone trapped in the “nice guy” role. “Teiwaz, if I start asserting my truth, people will get upset.”

Yes. They will. And this is where we need to reframe our understanding of Love vs. Comfort.

When you are authentic, you become a mirror. Your authenticity is an invitation for the other person to also be authentic. But for people who are hiding from their own pain or living in a comfortable lie, your truth feels like an attack.

When I left my engineering career to follow the shamanic path, I had deep, painful conflicts with my family. My mother didn’t understand. It was tense. It hurt.

But I held my line. Not out of anger, but out of necessity for my own soul. I didn’t isolate myself (Trap #2), but I didn’t submit to their expectations (Trap #1). I stayed in the relationship while being fully myself.

And do you know what happened?

My authenticity eventually became permission for them. Years later, my mother—who never cared for spirituality—joined me on a pilgrimage to Peru. We walked the holy mountains together.

Our relationship is now deeper, truer, and more intimate than it ever was when I was just trying to be a “good son.”

Conflict is not the end of the relationship. Often, it is the fire that burns away the fake layers so the real relationship can be born.

Practical Takeaways: How to Stay Rooted

You don’t need complicated rituals. You need to change how you navigate your daily interactions. Here are the pillars to keep your gravity:

Audit Your Desires (The Jacket Test): Pay attention to the moment you look for validation. When you like something—a jacket, a plan, an idea—and someone else disapproves, observe yourself. Do you immediately stop liking it? Catch that moment. That is the moment you abandon yourself. Reclaim it. “They don’t like it, but I do.”

Connect with Your “Hunger”: Many of us are tired because we are disconnected from our Second Chakra energy—our passion, our hunger for life. We are running on the fuel of “shoulds” instead of “wants.” Reconnecting with what you genuinely want to experience gives you the energy to stand your ground. A person with a clear goal is very hard to push around.

Reframe Conflict as an Invitation: When you set a boundary and the other person reacts, don’t see it as a failure. See it as an invitation you are offering them to meet you at a deeper level. You are saying: “I am showing you who I really am. Can you meet me here?” If they can’t, that is their journey, but do not shrink to fit their comfort.

The Best Amulet is Presence: You don’t need protection spells to deal with “energy vampires.” If you are fully inhabiting your body, connected to your emotions, and clear on your purpose, you are naturally protected. Absorption only happens when you are vacant inside. Fill your space with You.

Stop Abandoning Yourself

If you lose the connection with your Being, the river will take you. You will follow others. You will get lost in the scroll, in the drama, in the demands of the world.

But if you keep that connection alive… you become a lighthouse. You don’t just save yourself; you invite everyone around you to rise.

That is true love. Not losing yourself, but finding yourself so deeply that you can finally really see the other.

If you want to go deeper into this path of reclaiming your power…

WHY YOU CANNOT “THINK” YOUR WAY TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE (AND WHAT TO DO INSTEAD) https://innersparklife.com/cannot-think-way-to-meaningful-life-2/ Fri, 16 Jan 2026 09:00:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/cannot-think-way-to-meaningful-life-2/ Stop trying to solve an energetic problem with a mental spreadsheet.

It happens to almost everyone.

You start a relationship, a job, or a project with a massive boost of energy. Passion, intensity, meaning—it’s all there. You feel alive.

But after a year or two… the magic starts to fade. The intensity drops. The color turns grey.

Suddenly, you find yourself asking: Is this it? Is this all there is?

When I was younger, I asked people around me why this happened. Why does the spark always die? The answer I got was devastating:

“That’s just life, Pablo. The magic goes away, you accept it, and you settle into normal life.”

I refused to believe that. I refused to believe we are condemned to live in a grey cage of routine. But I saw the pattern repeating everywhere: relationships losing fire, jobs losing purpose, friendships losing depth.

The gap between our daily life and the deep longings of our soul becomes so big that nothing makes sense anymore.

And here is the trap.

When we feel this emptiness, what do we do? We try to FIX it with our MIND. We think, we analyze, we make “pros and cons” lists. We try to think our way back to purpose.

But I am here to tell you something that might save you years of frustration:

You cannot think your way to a meaningful life.

It is impossible. Because purpose is not a thought. It is a FREQUENCY.

Image 1

THE INVISIBLE CAGE OF THE “MIDDLE WORLD”

To understand why your mind is useless here, we need to look at energy. In the shamanic tradition, we understand that we live across different energetic “worlds.”

Most of modern society lives stuck in what we call the Middle World.

This is the world of the mundane. The world of logistics, routine, and management.

Tuesday is yoga. Wednesday is the kids. Thursday is drinks with colleagues. Monday is work. Everything is organized. Everything is predictable. Everything is under control.

When you are trapped in the Middle World, you are living mechanically. You are a Manager of your life, not the Lover of your life.

If you try to make a decision about your PURPOSE from this place, your mind will only offer you “Middle World” solutions:

A better salary.

A bigger house.

More comfort.

More safety.

Your rational mind will say: “Marry this person because they have a good background and stable finances.” It makes logical sense. It’s practical.

But your soul doesn’t care about “practical.” Your soul wants INTIMACY. It wants ADVENTURE. It wants the MYSTERY of connection.

Comfort and safety are necessary, yes. I needed a laptop to write this. Practical things are tools. But they are NOT the purpose.

If you try to find your soul’s mission using the logic of safety and comfort, you will only build a more comfortable cage.

Image 2

THE DANGER OF THE “UNDERWORLD”

It gets worse. Sometimes, we aren’t just bored; we are suffering.

We drop into the Underworld. This is the energetic state of fear, trauma, heavy emotions, and pain.

I see people come to me in this state, desperate to “find their purpose” so they can escape the pain. And I always tell them the same rule. A rule that saved my life:

NEVER make big life decisions when you are in a state of suffering.

If you decide from fear, you will attract more fear.

If you decide from scarcity, you will attract more scarcity.

If you decide from a desperate need to escape, you will just run into another trap.

In the Underworld, you are energetically disconnected from your potential. You cannot see the sun from the bottom of a cave.

So, if you are hurting, stop trying to figure out your mission. HEAL FIRST. Rest. Release the emotions. Do the work to get back to neutral.

Only then can you look up.

Image 3

THE TWIST: PURPOSE IS A STATE OF “ENTHUSIASM”

So, if the purpose isn’t in the rational Middle World, and it isn’t in the painful Underworld… where is it?

It lives in the Upper World. The world of Potential.

Think about how you feel right before a first date with someone you really like.

Or the week before a big, exotic trip to South America alone.

You are nervous, yes. But you are EXCITED. You are changing your clothes, imagining the possibilities, feeling the adrenaline. You cannot control what will happen—it is unpredictable—and that mystery makes you feel ALIVE.

That specific vibration—that mix of curiosity, the unknown, and joy—is the frequency of your Purpose.

The Upper World is the energy of the INNER CHILD.

Children live in this state constantly. “What are we doing tomorrow? What is this? Let’s go there!” They don’t analyze the ROI (Return on Investment) of playing with a stick. They just follow the enthusiasm.

Your purpose is not a job title. It is not “I will start a spiritual business in 2025.” That comes later.

First, it is an Opening. It is a sensation of expansion in your chest.

When you raise your energy to this level—through dancing, creating, exploring, doing something NEW—you bypass the rational mind. You enter the zone where your soul can actually speak.

Image 4

FROM ENGINEER TO SHAMAN: A PERSONAL PROOF

I didn’t start as a shaman. I was an engineer working in a research institution.

For five years, I lived in the rational world. And I loved it for what it was—it gave me safety while I was processing my internal awakening. I didn’t hate it.

But I knew it wasn’t IT.

When the moment came to change, I didn’t make a “pros and cons” list. I didn’t agonize for months.

I had been doing the work. I had been raising my frequency, connecting with that Upper World energy of enthusiasm and discovery.

When the call came, it was crystal clear. I quit. I turned my life upside down—my “omelet”—and I dedicated myself to this path.

It wasn’t a logical decision. To the Middle World mind, leaving a stable engineer job to bang drums and guide retreats is insanity.

But to the Soul, it was the only option vibrating at the right frequency.

PRACTICAL TAKEAWAYS: HOW TO SHIFT YOUR FREQUENCY

You cannot force the mind to find the answer. You must move the energy. Here is how you start:

Stop the “Manager” Mode: If your life is 100% predictable, you are spiritually asleep. Introduce the UNPREDICTABLE. Break the routine. Do something that scares you slightly or excites you.

The Healing Pause: If you are in pain, fear, or burnout (Underworld), DO NOT resign and DO NOT start a new business. Stop. Heal. Breathe. Get back to neutral before you touch the steering wheel of your life.

Follow the “New”: Purpose is connected to the energy of the NEW. Creativity, art, dancing, travel. Activities where the outcome is not controlled.

Don’t Ask “How”, Ask “What”: Don’t ask how will I make money doing this. Ask what do I want to experience? What do I want to express? Power? Love? Compassion?

Use Your Job as a Sponsor: You don’t have to quit tomorrow. Use your “Middle World” job to fund your “Upper World” exploration. Let your salary pay for the retreats, the books, the courses that ignite your soul.

THE CALL TO TRIBE

We are living in a time where we need to take spirituality out of the books and into the streets. Into our jobs. Into our relationships.

Alone, the gravity of the routine pulls you down. It’s physics. It’s hard to stay in the Upper World when everyone around you is obsessing over safety and taxes.

That is why we created the Inner Spark Tribe.

It is a space where we remind each other of who we really are. We do weekly livestreams, we share deep content, and we hold the vision for each other when the “Middle World” tries to crush us.

What My Grandfather’s Orange Grove Taught Me About Life’s Cycles https://innersparklife.com/shamanic-cycle-four-suns-orange-grove/ Thu, 25 Sep 2025 09:00:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/shamanic-cycle-four-suns-orange-grove/ My Grandfather, the Orange Trees, and a Lesson I Never Forgot

When I was a little boy, my world was filled with the rhythms of nature. My grandfather ran a family business centered around orange groves, and I used to spend a lot of time with him out in the fields. My favorite time of year, without a doubt, was spring.

I can still close my eyes and remember it. Imagine standing in a field surrounded by hundreds of orange trees, all bursting with the most beautiful, fragrant white flowers you’ve ever seen—we call them azahar. For a kid who was 5 or 6 years old, it was pure paradise. The sight, the incredible smell… it was magical, an experience that captured all your senses.

But then came the part I couldn’t understand. A few weeks later, all those perfect, beautiful flowers would die. They’d just fall away. It was heartbreaking for me. I’d look at my grandfather, who was always so calm and peaceful, and ask him, “Grandpa, why do the flowers have to die? Why can’t we just have these beautiful flowers all the time?”

He would look at me, not even raising an eyebrow, completely at peace, and say something so simple yet so profound: “Pablito, the flower has to die for the orange to come in October.”

Wow. For the orange to come—the fruit, the goal, the very purpose of the tree—the beautiful flower had to die. It wasn’t a tragedy; it was just part of the process. In that moment, a seed was planted in my mind, though it would take many, many years for me to fully understand it: death is not an end. It’s a necessary part of a much larger cycle. It’s a part of life.

Image 2

Why Do We Get Stuck? The Modern World’s Missing Piece

That lesson from the orange grove is a beautiful metaphor for our own lives. We all have “orange trees,” don’t we? Maybe it’s a project you want to launch, a relationship you want to build, or a personal transformation you want to achieve. We all have goals, dreams, and things we want to manifest.

But here’s where we run into trouble. We start a new venture, full of excitement and beautiful “flowers,” but then something happens. A challenge appears, an initial plan fails, or a relationship ends. We experience a small death, a dissolution. And what do we do? We panic. We think, “Oh no, I’ve done something wrong. This isn’t working. This is a failure.”

Imagine if you didn’t know how an orange tree worked and you saw all its beautiful flowers falling off. You’d probably think the tree was sick or dying. You might even try to “fix” it by spraying it with chemicals, only to end up harming the tree and preventing the fruit from ever growing.

That’s exactly what we do in our own lives. Our modern world has lost touch with the wisdom of cycles. We live in a culture of instant gratification. We want the perfect outcome, and we want it now. We don’t respect the process. We resist the natural endings and deaths that are necessary for new life and growth. By fighting the cycle, we get stuck. We end up stagnant, drained of energy, and wondering why we never get to the fruit.

Ancient Wisdom for Modern Problems: The Shamanic Cycle of the Four Suns

So, how do we get back in sync with this natural flow? Luckily, we have two powerful guides that can teach us everything we need to know.

The first, as my grandfather showed me, is nature itself. The seasons, the cycle of day and night, the life of a plant—they all reflect this constant rhythm of birth, growth, death, and renewal. It’s a wisdom that is always available to us if we just pay attention.

The second guide is ancient traditions. Shamanic cultures, Druids, and other indigenous peoples lived in deep connection with the earth. They understood these cycles intimately because their survival depended on it. They didn’t see life as a straight line but as a spiral, a sacred dance.

One of the most profound maps for this journey comes from the shamanic traditions of Altai, Siberia. It’s called The Cycle of the Four Suns. This beautiful teaching breaks down the adventure of life into four distinct phases, giving us a clear and practical framework for understanding our own journey of manifestation and growth.

Image 4

The First Sun (Spring & Sunrise): Answering the Call of Your Soul

What is the First Sun?

The first phase of the cycle corresponds to spring and sunrise. It’s that magical moment when a new idea sparks, a new passion ignites, or a new path calls to you. It’s the feeling of pure enthusiasm for something new and brilliant. It could be the desire to take a trip, start a creative project, get to know someone better, or finally free yourself from a fear that has held you back.

This is the stage where your soul opens up. It’s a connection to the future, to potential, to the promise of a bright new day. You feel something pulling you forward, something that seduces and excites you. This is your inner child saying, “Yes! This! I want to experience this!”

How We Get Trapped in the First Sun

Many of us get stuck right at the beginning. The first major obstacle is losing the connection with our inner child. When we are disconnected, we can no longer see what excites us. Life becomes a mechanical routine, and even though a new sunrise happens every morning, we feel nothing. We become incapable of even starting the adventure.

The second obstacle is when we do see what calls us, but we immediately judge and reject it. We don’t have the faith or the guts to follow it. Our minds jump in with a thousand excuses: “That’s just a fantasy,” “I don’t have the time/money/energy for that,” “Maybe next year,” “I’m too old for this.” By doing this, we reject the existential journey before it even begins, settling for a life of mere survival and comfort that eventually leads to burnout, depression, and a deep sense of being stuck.

What You Need to Move Through This Stage

To successfully navigate the First Sun, you need to cultivate a strong connection with your inner child. It’s about giving yourself permission to dream, to feel excitement, and to listen to your soul’s desires without judgment. It requires the courage to say “YES” to that inner calling, even when you don’t have a perfect plan. This is the essential first step to entering the sacred cycle of growth.

The Second Sun (Summer & Midday): Turning Your Vision into Reality

What is the Second Sun?

Once you’ve answered the call of the First Sun, you enter the second phase, which corresponds to summer and midday. This is the stage of action. It’s a yang, masculine energy phase where you take that inspiring idea and bring it down to earth. It’s about creating a plan, taking concrete steps, and committing to the project. This is when you’re full of vitality and energy, moving and making things happen in the world.

Think about the peak of summer—it’s a time of high activity, travel, and experiences. You are actively working to manifest the dream that gave you butterflies in your stomach during the First Sun.

How We Get Trapped in the Second Sun

The biggest obstacle here is confronting resistance and non-ideality. In the First Sun, your dream was a perfect, ideal potential. But when you try to make it real, you encounter the messy reality of the material world. The train is late, the hotel smells weird, your business plan hits a snag, people around you react negatively to your changes. Things are not perfect.

This is where many people give up. They think, “This is too hard. It shouldn’t be like this. If it were truly spiritual and aligned, it would be easy.” They retreat back to the safety of the First Sun, preferring to daydream about the perfect vision rather than face the challenges of reality. They get stuck in a loop of planning and dreaming, but never truly manifesting.

What You Need to Move Through This Stage

To navigate the Second Sun, you need personal power. In shamanism, we call this kut—your inner fire, determination, and the capacity to handle intensity. It’s about developing resilience, self-love, and the strength to overcome obstacles without giving up. You must accept that resistance is a natural part of creation. Manifesting anything meaningful in the physical world requires effort, confidence, and the courage to face imperfection head-on.

Image 6

The Third Sun (Autumn & Sunset): The Crucial Inner Journey of Integration

What is the Third Sun?

After the action-packed phase of the Second Sun, we enter the period of the Third Sun, which corresponds to autumn and sunset. This is a yin, feminine energy phase where the focus shifts from the outer world to the inner world. All the actions you took and experiences you had in the previous stage have stirred something inside you—emotions, memories, fears, and attachments. The Third Sun is the time for the inner journey.

For example, you missed the train on your trip (Second Sun action). You managed the situation and found a solution, but now you feel insecure and out of control. That feeling is the beginning of your Third Sun journey. The cycle isn’t just about building things externally; it’s about discovering yourself. This is the crucial stage of emotional and energetic integration.

How We Get Trapped in the Third Sun

The main obstacle here is an inability to feel and take responsibility for our inner world. We live in a society that encourages constant doing, not feeling. So, when uncomfortable emotions surface, instead of looking inward, we project them outward. We blame the train company, our friend who was ten minutes late, or our partner for our feelings of insecurity. We see our inner state as someone else’s fault.

By projecting instead of integrating, we interrupt the cycle. We create conflicts, ruin relationships, and sabotage our own projects. We get stuck in a loop of blame and emotional reactivity, never getting to the root of our experience and never learning the lesson the cycle is trying to teach us.

What You Need to Move Through This Stage

To navigate the Third Sun, you need the capacity to stop, be still, and feel. It requires you to connect with your body, your emotions, and your sensations without judgment and without identifying with them. It’s about observation. You need the courage to sit with your inner discomfort and ask, “What is this experience trying to show me about myself?” This requires a gentle, receptive, and feminine energy—the willingness to simply be with what is, allowing for true integration to happen.

The Fourth Sun (Winter & Night): The Sacred Art of Letting Go

What is the Fourth Sun?

Finally, we arrive at the Fourth Sun, the phase corresponding to winter and the deep night. This is also a yin stage, but it goes deeper than the third. This is the moment of death, surrender, and rebirth. After integrating your emotions, you come face-to-face with the root of your inner journey: the beliefs, memories, and personalities you developed (often as a child) that are generating these experiences.

This is the most profound part of the cycle. It’s where you realize, “Oh, this pattern, this fear… this isn’t the real me. It’s just a construct.” The Fourth Sun is the sacred process of letting go of these false identities so your true self can emerge. This is where the old flower truly dies, making space for new life.

How We Get Trapped in the Fourth Sun

The biggest obstacle in this final stage is a lack of faith in a higher power. We try to fix ourselves with the same mind that created the problem. The ego cannot release itself. We resist surrendering control because we are afraid of the unknown. We cling to our old, painful identities because, at least, they are familiar.

This final, crucial step cannot be done alone. It requires help from what shamans call Spirit, or what others might call the Universe, God, or Higher Consciousness. Without the humility to ask for help, we block the miracle of transformation and remain stuck with our old baggage, unable to complete the cycle and be truly renewed.

What You Need to Move Through This Stage

To navigate the Fourth Sun, you need faith and humility. This is the stage of prayer and open-hearted surrender. It’s not about begging, but about opening a genuine dialogue with something greater than yourself. It’s the humble recognition that you don’t have all the answers and you need help.

In A Course in Miracles, this moment of release is called a “miracle”—a correction in the mind performed by a higher intelligence. By opening your heart and asking for this intervention, you allow your psyche to be healed. This act of surrender is what finally liberates your soul, completes the cycle, and prepares you to enter a new spring with renewed energy and wisdom.

Are You Ready to Let Your Own Cycle Flow?

From the enthusiasm of spring to the action of summer, the introspection of autumn, and the surrender of winter—this cycle is constantly happening within you and around you. It’s in your projects, your relationships, and your own body. The trees don’t cling to their leaves in autumn, and the flower doesn’t resist dying to become a fruit. Yet, we do. We interrupt these natural processes, and as a result, we get stuck, burnt out, and disconnected from our own vitality.

By ignoring this ancient wisdom, we accumulate old energies, unresolved conflicts, and fears from the past. We forget how to renew ourselves. But when you learn to understand and respect these four stages in your own life, everything changes. You stop fighting reality and start flowing with it. You regain your creativity, your joy, and a deep sense of purpose.

8 Qualities You Were Born With (And How to Reclaim Them) https://innersparklife.com/how-to-reclaim-the-8-qualities-you-were-born-with/ Mon, 22 Sep 2025 08:00:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/how-to-reclaim-the-8-qualities-you-were-born-with/ So, You Think You Need to “Work On” Being a Better Person? Think Again.

Let’s talk about those amazing qualities we all admire in others—and wish we had more of ourselves. You know the ones: kindness, generosity, confidence… the good stuff. But we’re going to flip the script on how you think about them. Forget everything you’ve heard about “developing” these qualities from zero, as if you were an empty cup that needs filling.

Here’s a wild thought: You were born with all of them. Yep, every single one. They are part of your spiritual DNA, your birthright. It’s not something you need to learn, but something you need to uncover. Imagine it less like building a new house and more like decluttering a beautiful room that’s been buried under junk for years. The room has always been there; you just need to clear the way to see it again. ✨

So, if we’re all born with these awesome traits, why does it often feel like they’re missing? Well, life happens. Society, with its endless rules, expectations, and judgments, creates a kind of “bad spirit” or a distorted version of each quality. From a shamanic perspective, these “spirits” are clever tricksters. They take something pure, like kindness, and twist it into a mechanical duty—something you do to get social approval or avoid conflict. This twisted version traps us, making our actions stem from fear instead of genuine feeling.

To really get what true kindness is, we need to see what it’s not. To feel real confidence, we have to recognize its fake, fragile twin. That’s why, for each quality, we’ll look at both sides of the coin: its Dharma (its pure, natural expression) and the social deviation that messes it all up. This isn’t about trying harder to be “good.” It’s about cleaning your perception. Once you clear away the distortions, these qualities will start bubbling up on their own—spontaneously, joyfully, and straight from the heart.

1. Kindness: What if It’s Not About Being a “Nice Guy”?

When someone says “practice kindness,” what comes to mind? Probably some guided meditation telling you to send loving thoughts to someone, right? It’s a sweet idea, but it only shows half the picture. The mind learns through contrast, not just one-sided, feel-good instructions. To truly understand kindness, we have to get real about what it has become for most of us: a mechanical performance.

Behind the pure energy of kindness, there’s often a “bad spirit” lurking: the spirit of forced kindness. This is the deviation that tricks us. It’s the version of kindness born from a fear of what others will think. It’s that social pressure to always be pleasant, agreeable, and nice. Ever been to a place where everyone is super polite, but you can just feel the tension under the surface? That’s not real kindness; it’s a social ritual, a defense mechanism to avoid criticism. 😬

This deviation traps us in the “nice guy” or “nice girl” role. When we play this part, we start giving away our personal power. We choose being seen as sweet and soft over being our wild, authentic selves. We bite our tongues and swallow our truth because we’re scared of making waves. But what is true kindness, then?

It’s not about being mechanically sweet. True kindness is spontaneous. It erupts from your heart as a genuine wish for the well-being of others and yourself. It’s not an act you put on to avoid judgment; it’s an authentic expression of love.

And here’s the game-changer: the outward expression of true kindness isn’t always gentle. Sometimes, the kindest thing you can do is be a little rough. It might mean being direct, setting a firm boundary, or having an honest conversation that feels uncomfortable. Think about a relationship where one person is always accommodating to avoid fights. That “soft” kindness prevents any real issues from being resolved, leading the relationship straight to hell. The truly kind act might have been a tough, honest talk that looked anything but “nice” in the moment.

The secret to this higher kindness is seeing the true essence of another person—their soul, their highest potential. When you connect with that part of someone, kindness just flows. It’s not a strategy; it’s what happens naturally when your perception is clean and your heart is open. ❤

2. Generosity: Are You Giving Freely or Just Setting a Trap?

Just like kindness, generosity gets seriously twisted by social programming. We’re taught to focus on the act of giving, but we rarely stop to check the hidden intentions behind it. The most common distortion? Giving with strings attached. This turns a beautiful quality into a sneaky tool for manipulation and control.

Let’s break down the fakes:

  • Giving for applause: This is the politician posing for a photo-op at a charity event. The act isn’t about joy; it’s about being seen as a good person. The prize they want is a round of applause from the public.
  • Giving out of obligation: You know this one. It’s when you give because you feel you have to, not because you want to. You hand over the money or your time, but inside, you feel resentful and drained. That’s because the act is totally disconnected from your heart.

But the most toxic deviation of all is giving to feel entitled. This is when you shower someone with your time, money, or energy, and a little voice inside starts whispering, “They owe me.” You start feeling entitled to make demands, believing they are now obligated to you. It’s giving in exchange for control. We see it all the time in families, when a parent says, “I gave you everything, and this is how you repay me?” That single sentence turns the unconditional gift of life into a transaction, a debt. 🤢

So, what does pure generosity look like? It works on one simple, beautiful rule: the reward for giving is the feeling you get while giving. That’s it. The reward isn’t what you get back; it’s the buzz of joy in that very moment. Think of a little kid handing you a flower they just picked. They’re not looking for a payback; they’re just sharing a spark of delight.

This feeling of joy is your ultimate bullshit detector. If you give and feel depleted afterward, it’s a red flag that your generosity wasn’t pure. You were probably acting from obligation or a hidden agenda. But when you find that delight in the act of giving? You’re already receiving. The act itself fills you up. True generosity isn’t a sacrifice—it’s an experience of joy. 🎉

3. Confidence: The Solid Core vs. the Fragile Mask

Confidence is probably one of the most misunderstood qualities out there. Its true home is in your solar plexus, your center of personal power, and it’s deeply connected to your innate sense of self-worth. But society has cooked up a powerful and toxic fake version: a “confidence” that isn’t built on inner strength, but on the external validation of others.

This fake confidence is the work of a parasitic personality. To feel good about itself, it needs to make others feel small. Its sense of worth isn’t generated from within; it’s stolen from the energy of people around it. This is the person who gets aggressive, attacks others, or humiliates them in public just to get a quick hit of superiority. This behavior is a flashing red light for a broken sense of confidence. Because they feel worthless deep down, they build a mask of arrogance and try to drag everyone else down with them.

So many people live their whole lives protecting this fragile mask. They build a comfort zone—a job, a family, a social circle—where they feel safe and valued. But the moment you take them out of that environment, their confidence shatters. I’ve been there. When I moved to a new country, I was totally out of my element, and my sense of value took a nosedive. It was a clear sign that my confidence wasn’t solid yet; it depended on my surroundings and the roles I played.

True confidence is the complete opposite. It’s a rock-solid sense of your own value that comes directly from your soul. It has nothing to do with your job, your bank account, or what people think of you. You could be broke, dirty, or in a totally awkward situation, and you would never lose touch with your intrinsic worth. You have zero doubt about the value of your being. This is what Jesus was getting at when he said, “I am the son of God, and you are too.” He was pointing to the highest value imaginable—one that’s baked into all of us, not earned.

So, how do you get this real-deal confidence? You can’t build it by stacking up achievements. The only way is to embrace challenges. A challenge is any situation that rattles your current sense of value. The deep fear behind avoiding them is that you’ll fail, and that failure will expose you as worthless. My biggest fear was always that people would see right through me and find nothing there.

But it’s by facing those exact situations that you build the real thing. You have to willingly step out of your comfort zone. In this world, one of the best ways to work on this is through the energy of money, because it instantly shows you how much value you feel you have. How much do you charge for your work? How comfortable are you asking for what you’re worth? These aren’t just business questions; they are deep spiritual practices that force you to connect with that unshakable value within. 💪

4. Trust: Are You Surrendering or Just Trying to Control Everything?

Of all the qualities we’re born with, trust might be the one most twisted by our modern world. Society drills a deeply flawed idea into us: that the only way to feel trust is to control every little thing. This is the great deviation, the “bad spirit” that promises security but only delivers a lifetime of stress.

This messed-up version of trust is based on the idea that if we can just manage our job, our partner, our finances, and our future, then we can finally relax and feel safe. So, we create rigid plans, build strict routines, and try to make every part of life predictable. When everything is going according to plan, we might feel a temporary, artificial sense of trust. But it’s incredibly fragile.

Why? Because this control is a complete illusion. Life is, by its very nature, unpredictable. The moment something unexpected happens—a job loss, a breakup, an illness—our carefully built world of control shatters, and our so-called trust vanishes with it. This constant effort to micromanage life is exhausting. It keeps us in a state of perpetual stress and anger because, deep down, we know our grip is weak. We can’t build real trust this way; we can only build a prison of anxiety.

True trust has nothing to do with control. In fact, it’s the exact opposite: it’s the willingness to surrender. It’s the deep, unshakable feeling that life will always bring you what you need for your evolution. It’s being open to receiving whatever comes your way—the good, the bad, the painful, and the beautiful. It’s a profound faith in a higher wisdom, in the meaning of life itself. It’s knowing that behind every single experience, no matter how chaotic it seems, there is a purpose and there is love.

This kind of trust lets you feel calm and safe without needing to have all your ducks in a row. It’s the feeling of being held. For me, the ultimate test of this was in an Ayahuasca ceremony. There, you’re asked to give up 100% of your control—not just over your weekend plans, but over your body, your mind, and your entire experience of reality. You have to surrender completely.

The biggest roadblock to this state is the fear of losing the reality we cling to—our identity, our body, our illusions of stability. We’re terrified of letting go. But we can’t build real trust by holding on tighter. The only way is to practice surrender. It’s by entering a state of letting go that we open the door to a trust that isn’t fragile and artificial, but powerful, deep, and liberating. 🙏

5. Beginner’s Mind: Are You Seeing the World or Just Your Own History?

This next quality, the “Beginner’s Mind,” is all about your perception. It’s the ability to be fresh and new in every single moment, to see the world without the dusty filter of your past experiences and judgments. It’s a state of pure, childlike openness. Sounds lovely, right? 🤩

But it has one huge enemy: the simple declaration, “I know.”

The moment you think “I know,” you’ve slammed the door on the present and locked yourself in the past. This is the biggest trap, especially for people on a spiritual path. Ironically, the ones who are most resistant to new knowledge are often those who think they’re already experts. The first step to real wisdom is admitting you know nothing. Only then can you actually open your mind to what’s possible.

This “knowing” mind doesn’t see reality; it sees your history projected onto reality. For example, a friend makes one mistake, and from that day on, you only see them through the lens of that screw-up. You’re no longer interacting with the person standing in front of you, but with your judgment of their past. This closes off all potential for the future. A beginner’s mind, on the other hand, is innocent. It sees the potential of the future, not the prison of the past. It’s the only way new things—new relationships, new ideas, new breakthroughs—can enter your life.

However, practicing this can bring up a deep vulnerability: the program of comparison. This is the shadow side that pops up when our self-worth isn’t solid. I’ve been there. I’m generally open, but in that openness, I can start to lose my own sense of value. When I see someone who knows more or does something better than me, I start to doubt myself. I lose connection with my own worth.

This is a critical point. The goal isn’t to empty yourself out and just become a copy of someone else. But when our confidence is shaky, that’s what happens. We see excellence in another person and, instead of feeling inspired, we feel small. This triggers a “bad spirit” reaction: the urge to copy. We think, “What they’re doing is better, so I have to do that too.” This isn’t learning; it’s desperately trying to borrow value from outside because we haven’t built it inside ourselves.

If you can’t admire others without feeling like crap about yourself, it’s a clear sign that the comparison program is running your life. The work isn’t to be less open, but to strengthen your own core of self-worth. When you can witness excellence, appreciate it, and still stay connected to your own unique value, that’s when you are truly free to learn. 🌟

6. Non-Judgment: Are You Living Freely or Stuck in a Cage You Built?

This quality, non-judgment, is a big one. It’s connected to the third eye, the Ajna chakra, which is all about how we perceive reality. Its opposite, judgment, comes from a very sneaky and deep desire: the desire to own the truth. When we judge, we grab one tiny piece of our perception, one single angle, and declare it to be the absolute, 100% truth. We try to force the infinite, messy, beautiful flow of life into a tiny, rigid box. And in doing so, we distort reality itself.

This is exactly how we build our fixed personalities, our identities. We make a judgment: “I am Pablo, the engineer,” “I’m the kind one in the family,” or “I’m a victim.” These judgments become the steel bars of a cage we build around ourselves. This is the ultimate trap, the place where the soul starts to suffocate. Your soul wants to be a warrior one day, a playful child the next, then a wise queen, and then a wild dancer. But the judgmental mind has locked it into a single, boring role. ⛓

To protect this fragile identity, we then use judgment against others. We judge people based on how neatly they fit into our version of the truth. Those who support our identity become our friends; those who challenge it become our enemies. For example, if you’re unconsciously identified with being a victim, you’ll probably judge empowered people as “arrogant” or “cheaters.” You do this to protect your story, because their power is a direct threat to your identity cage.

The key to escaping this prison is one of the most profound spiritual truths you’ll ever encounter: your perception is not the truth; it is a tool. In our everyday world, we see our identity as something fixed that gives us a sense of self. But in its highest form, perception is flexible, something you can pick up and use.

Think of a shamanic practice used by athletes. Before a big rugby match, you might see a team doing a ritual, acting like wild animals. In that moment, they aren’t just pretending. They are aligning their perception with that of an animal, embodying its ferocity, power, and instinct. They are using perception as a tool to win the game. An actor does the same thing, stepping into a different perception to become a character on stage.

True non-judgment is the freedom to do this in your own life. It’s the ability to change your point of view, to melt the rigid identity you’ve created, and to enter a state where you can be anything. One moment, you can be a child, full of wonder. The next, a fish, feeling the flow of the current. Then a queen, feeling empowered. This is the freedom your soul craves. The way to cultivate it is through practices like meditation and shamanic journeys, which are designed to dissolve that fixed point of “you” and let you access the limitless potential you were born with. ✨

7. Patience: Why Your Healing Isn’t a Race (And How to Honor Your Own Pace)

In our modern world, we want everything fast. Fast food, fast internet, and fast results. The ego hates waiting, and this impatience has created a world that’s totally disconnected from the natural rhythms of life. This is the great deviation of patience: the belief that we can speed up our transformation, that we can force our healing to happen on a timeline we control.

This shows up everywhere in the world of self-improvement. You see programs offering a fixed, linear path: “Heal these five wounds in this exact order, and you will be whole.” But that’s not how life actually works. When I look at my own healing, I see that things come up in their own time, at their own speed. You can’t just decide which deep wound will surface first. After more than a decade of this work, wounds from my earliest childhood are only just beginning to show themselves. You have to heal the outer layers before you can even get to the core.

This mechanical, step-by-step approach isn’t designed for real healing; it’s designed to be sold. It preys on our fear and offers a rigid structure that feels safe. But real growth is organic, not mechanical. A lack of patience makes us build new things on top of old, messy foundations, which just guarantees that we’ll repeat the same cycles over and over again. 🔄

True patience is the willingness to respect the cycles of life, just like we see in nature. Life doesn’t move in a straight line; it moves in spirals. There is a time for action and a time for stillness, a time for creating and a time for integrating. Patience is understanding which part of the cycle you’re in and actually honoring it.

Think of the seasons. There’s a time of growth and action, like summer, when everything is happening externally. But then comes autumn, a time of integration. This is when the real work happens inside. You have to reflect on your experiences and let the lessons sink in. To the impatient mind, it feels like nothing is happening, but it’s the most crucial part.

After integration comes winter, a time of emptiness and silence. We often mistake this phase for depression, but it’s a sacred space of contemplation. It’s the fertile ground upon which something new can finally begin to grow. Our impatience makes us fear this emptiness. We rush to start a new project or relationship without having fully integrated the last one, and so we’re doomed to repeat our old mistakes.

These cycles are happening all the time, on every level of our lives. Patience is the wisdom to understand that every phase is necessary. It’s the deep knowing that things unfold at their own speed, in their own time, according to a rhythm far greater than our own will. 🌱

8. Gratitude: The Ultimate Unlock (And the Ego’s Greatest Fear)

We’ve arrived at the highest of all qualities, the key that unlocks the door to a state of prayer itself: gratitude. Because it’s so powerful, its twisted version is equally poisonous. While generosity is the joy of giving, gratitude is the joy of receiving. But our society has become an expert at killing that joy.

The “bad spirit” of gratitude turns it into a weapon of control. It’s the voice of a parent saying, “Look at everything I gave you; you should be grateful.” Here, “gratitude” isn’t an invitation to feel joy; it’s a demand for your energy. It’s used to make you feel small, indebted, and trapped in a toxic power game. Because this manipulative dynamic is so common, many of us instinctively flinch at the very idea of being grateful.

But the most powerful force that kills gratitude comes from within: the ego’s sense of ownership. The ego loves to believe it’s the sole creator of its reality. It wants all the credit for its health, its success, its intelligence. The idea that “I built this,” “I earned this,” or “I made myself who I am” is the ego’s favorite story. This sense of ownership makes true gratitude impossible, because gratitude requires admitting that you are not a self-sufficient, isolated island.

True gratitude is the radical recognition that everything you have is a gift. It’s the direct experience of being in a constant, beautiful relationship with life. Your body, your consciousness, your very breath—it’s all provided. This shatters the ego, which thrives on the sexy idea of being an independent hero. But in reality, we need air, water, food, and other people. We are not alone. 🙏

The ego suffers when it hears this, but your soul is liberated. The path is simple, but not easy:

  1. First, take time to truly contemplate your blessings—not just the stuff you own, but your health, your creativity, your potential, your freedom.
  2. Then comes the step that crushes the ego: realize that you didn’t create them. You received them. Your talents, your power, your intelligence—they were given to you.

When you fully recognize that everything is a gift, your heart cracks open. The sense of ownership dissolves. And when there is no owner, there is no isolated self. You realize your life is sustained by a force far greater than your own will. The only sane response is to surrender and say, “Thank you.” This is true gratitude, the highest state of being, where you are not alone, but one with everything. 💖

Your True Self Isn’t Lost. It’s Just Buried.

So, here’s the real takeaway: you don’t need to build a better version of yourself. You just need to excavate the incredible one that’s already there. These eight qualities are not medals to be won or skills to be learned; they are the very music of your soul, waiting for you to finally clear out the noise.

The real work isn’t about adding more layers, but about bravely stripping away everything that isn’t truly you—the fears, the judgments, the roles you’ve been playing for far too long. This is a journey of remembering, of returning to the powerful, authentic, and free person you were always meant to be.

Stop trying to become. Start uncovering. Your most genuine, joyful, and powerful life is waiting just beneath the surface. Are you ready to start digging? ✨

The Parent’s Path: How Raising Your Children Can Be Your Greatest Spiritual Journey https://innersparklife.com/parenting-as-a-spiritual-path/ Thu, 04 Sep 2025 10:00:06 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/?p=21410 Introduction: Parenting Isn’t Just a Job, It’s Your Greatest Spiritual Path

Let’s be honest for a moment. When we think about having kids, our minds usually jump to a one-way street: we are here to teach, guide, and shape them. We buy the books, we listen to the advice, and we prepare ourselves for the massive responsibility of raising a good human being. But what if we’ve got it backward? What if your child didn’t come into your life just for you to raise them, but for them to help you find… well, you?

This isn’t just a nice, poetic idea. It’s one of the most powerful, raw, and practical spiritual paths available to anyone. Forget silent retreats in the mountains for a moment; try navigating a toddler’s tantrum or a teenager’s silence. That’s where the real work happens! Why? Because our children have a unique, almost magical ability to show us exactly where we are broken, where we are still wounded, and where we have unfinished business with ourselves.

This journey isn’t always easy, but it’s the most authentic one you can take. It’s a path that asks you to grow alongside your child, to heal your own past so you don’t pass it on to their future. It’s about realizing that the best gift you can ever give your kids is your own self-awareness and inner peace. 🕊 Ready to walk it? Let’s begin.

Your Child, Your Mirror: Seeing Your Own Inner Child in Their Eyes

Have you ever looked at your child and felt a sudden, intense emotion you couldn’t quite place? A flash of anger, a wave of sadness, or a deep sense of fear that seems way bigger than the situation calls for? That’s not a random fluke. That’s the mirror effect in action. The way we care for our inner child is directly mirrored in how we care for our real children, and vice versa. It’s a powerful, two-way street of reflection.

Think of it this way: deep inside you, there is an “inner child”—a part of your subconscious that holds all the emotions, beliefs, and traumas from your own childhood. For most of us, that part is hidden away, often wounded and unheard. When you become a parent, your actual child acts like a spotlight, shining a bright light on that hidden part of you. Their joy can bring out your suppressed playfulness. Their sadness can trigger your own unresolved grief. Their defiance can ignite your old battles with control.

This is precisely why parenting is such a potent spiritual path. It brings your subconscious to the surface. By paying attention to how you interact with your child, you get a direct look into your own inner world and the traumas that are holding you back from being truly happy. It’s not about blaming yourself for your reactions; it’s about seeing them as a gift—a map guiding you toward the parts of yourself that are finally ready to be healed. ❤️‍🩹

The “Grown-Up Trap”: Why Adult Logic Fails in Conscious Parenting

As we grow up, we’re taught to live in our heads. We build our lives on logic, principles, and what society tells us is “right.” It’s a world of shoulds and shouldn’ts, a world that can often feel disconnected and even a bit ugly. The problem is, we then try to impose this rigid, logical framework onto our children. The standard approach to education is often just an attempt to make children into small grown-ups as quickly as possible. We operate from an unconscious attitude of, “I know better, and you have to be like me.”

But here’s the secret: you cannot approach a child with logic alone. Their world isn’t built on reason; it’s built on raw, unfiltered feeling. A child’s language is emotional and deeply existential. They show you their truth through joy, tears, silence, or a sudden tantrum—not through a well-reasoned argument. When we try to “reason” with these deep feelings or dismiss them because they aren’t logical, we create the very first separation between ourselves and them, and between them and their own soul.

The spiritual path of parenting asks us to step out of this “grown-up trap.” It requires us to have a very open mind and to stop trying to analyze everything with our adult intellect. It’s a call to meet our children where they are—in the world of the heart, of pure being, and of emotional truth. Only from that place can we truly connect and guide them without crushing their spirit. ✨

You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup: The Duty to Heal Yourself First

Every parent wants their child to be strong, confident, joyful, and free. We tell them, “Be brave!” or “Love yourself!” But often, these are just words. The hard truth is, if we ourselves are struggling with self-doubt, dissatisfaction, or fear, our words are empty. And kids are the best lie detectors in the world; they feel the gap between what we say and who we are immediately.

This is where the spiritual path of parenting gets very real. It’s founded on a simple but profound principle: children learn from who we are, not from what we tell them to be. They don’t learn from our intellectual knowledge; they absorb our very being. Therefore, to give these gifts of confidence and freedom to our children, we must first embody them ourselves. A parent who is afraid of freedom cannot possibly raise a confident child.

That’s why healing your own inner child isn’t a selfish act—it’s your most important parental duty. Only when you learn to connect with and nurture the child within yourself can you truly connect with and nurture your own children. By facing your own wounds, you stop the cycle of passing them down. You become a living example of wholeness, and that is a lesson no book could ever teach. 🙏

Beyond Words: Learning the True Language of Children (and Your Soul)

As adults, we are masters of words, logic, and arguments. But children operate on a completely different frequency. When your inner child, or any child, speaks, it’s not through reason. Their language is emotional, raw, and deeply existential. They don’t explain their truth with bullet points; they show it through tears, spontaneous joy, deep silence, or sudden outbursts. These aren’t “misbehaviors” to be corrected; they are profound communications from their soul.

The spiritual work of a parent is to learn to listen to this language. It means putting aside our need to fix, rationalize, or control, and instead, allowing our feelings to guide the communication. It’s about creating a safe space where your child feels seen and accepted for who they are, not for who your logical mind thinks they should be. You can’t reason with a child’s feelings, but you can connect with them through your own essence and emotion.

And here’s the beautiful part: as you learn to decode your child’s emotional language, you inevitably start to understand your own. You begin to hear the whispers of your own inner child, the part of you that also speaks in feelings, intuitions, and emotions. You learn to trust your heart again, and that is a vital step on any spiritual path. 💖

The Two Sacred Gifts Every Child (and Parent) Deserves: Freedom and Confidence

So, what is the ultimate goal of this spiritual path? It’s to cultivate two essential gifts within yourself, so you can naturally offer them to your child: Independence with Confidence and a Sense of No Limitations. Let’s break them down.

1. Independence With Confidence

This isn’t the rebellious “I’ll do what I want” attitude we often see in teenagers who are simply reacting against the system. That’s independence born from pain, without real confidence. True, confident independence is something much deeper. It means being trusted by others—and trusting yourself—to do three things: to explore, to choose, and to act.

  • Trust to Explore: Can you step into the unknown without being crippled by fear? Many parents, afraid of the unknown themselves, try to control their children to keep them “safe,” passing on their own fear. A conscious parent cultivates trust in life’s journey, for themselves and their child.
  • Trust to Choose: Are you truly free to choose your path, or are your choices programmed by your family and society? The big fear for most people is making the wrong choice. Granting your child the freedom to choose (and make mistakes!) is a radical act of trust.
  • Trust to Act: Do you need permission from everyone before you take action? Confident independence means having the inner authority to act on your own choices and take full responsibility.

Each step taken with this kind of trust builds real, unshakable confidence, showing your child (and your inner child) that they are truly capable.

2. A Sense of No Limitations

This isn’t about believing you can physically fly; it’s about having no limits in your spirit. The most important “no limit” state you can achieve is in your sense of who you are. Most adults do the exact opposite: they create a rigid, formulated self—an ego—and say, “This is me. Period.” That’s a self-imposed prison.

A person with a limitless spirit isn’t defined by labels. If someone calls them a fool, they don’t crumble, because they know that while they might do something foolish, they are not a fool. Their identity is fluid, expansive, and free. This is true spiritual resilience, and it’s a gift that protects a child from the judgment of the world far more than any armor ever could.

Raising a Free Thinker in a Programmed World

One of the biggest challenges on the spiritual parent’s path is navigating a world that runs on programming. We think we are making free choices, but often, we’re just picking from a pre-approved menu. The transcript gives some perfect examples: In politics, your choice is often limited to left or right. In the market, it’s Mercedes, BMW, or Audi. You have the freedom to move, but only on the train tracks that have already been laid down for you.

Most people don’t even realize that their “free choice” is almost totally programmed. This is why the lives of the majority of people end up looking so similar. As a parent, your first job is to start seeing this programming in your

own life. Where are you acting on autopilot? Where are you following the herd without question? You can’t guide your child out of a maze if you don’t even realize you’re in one yourself.

The goal isn’t to raise a rebel who is against everything; that’s just another reaction. The goal is to raise a truly sovereign being. A child who learns to listen to their own inner authority can see the “matrix” for what it is and make choices that are authentic to their soul, not just what’s on the menu. This is how we empower the next generation to create a new world, not just repeat the patterns of the old one. 🌍

The Ultimate Teaching Method: Children Learn Who You ARE, Not What You Say

After all this, the most important lesson is beautifully simple. The most powerful way to guide your child—or your inner child, or your students—is to live by example. Words alone are never enough. We can tell our children to be confident all day long, but they will learn from watching how we handle our own insecurities. We can tell them to be peaceful, but they will learn from the energy we bring into a room. You must embody the qualities yourself.

Children learn from what they see, not from what they hear. When we live authentically, we become the model that inspires real growth. Your presence is the real curriculum. Your own journey of becoming more free, more loving, and more whole is the greatest inheritance you can possibly leave them. You don’t just teach them the path; you become the path. And that is a lesson they will carry in their hearts forever.

Your First Step on the Path: A Simple Question to Guide You Home

This journey of conscious parenting is a practice, not a destination. Growth doesn’t happen in a single “aha!” moment, but through repetition. Every time you choose freedom over fear, you strengthen your true self and your inner child gains strength. So where do you begin?

Start with one simple, wide-open question. Imagine your child, or the child you hope to have, or even the small child still living inside you. Now, ask yourself from the deepest part of your heart: “What would I want for my children?” Don’t think about what they should achieve or become. Think about how you want them to feel, how you want them to exist and live.

Let the answer come from your soul. Joy? Freedom? Love? The ability to trust their own experience? Whatever comes up, know this: your answer is not just a wish for them. It is a map home to yourself. What you wish for your child is what your own soul is asking for. Follow that feeling. That is the beginning, middle, and end of this beautiful spiritual path. 🌟
