They have placed their swords in the center, while their camels wait in the background.

This card represents the moment when we put down our swords, the struggle, the disputes, the inner conflict or the conflict with others, and sit down to contemplate everything from a wider perspective.

It is the rest in the middle of the odyssey. That is what the oasis represents. You haven't reached your destination yet, but it is time to take a break and reconsider.

The symbol on the blanket is the symbol of Jupiter, higher vision.

We often get lost in our clashes with life, with others and with ourselves. And we lose the bigger perspective of what is actually happening.

For example

I don't like my job…. and I focus on that unpleasant aspect…. and I forget that I am doing it out of love for my family, or because I have a plan and in 2 years I will be flying out of here.

This conflict with my partner bothers me and I suffer…… And I forget that what I am experiencing is the dynamic of my family that I still carry within me, and that this is the path to healing it.

I want to solve a problem in my life in 2 days and I get frustrated when I can't…… because I have overlooked the fact that this problem connects with a deep karmic aspect of my path, and expecting to close the chapter in 2 days is simply not realistic. I need a path and I need time for this.

These are examples of how we get lost in what is immediate, and lose our energy and our creative mind.

So we need to stop and put down the swords. Contemplate. Look from a distance. Integrate new KNOWLEDGE and TEACHINGS that help me see the whole movie from another angle, from higher up.

Wherever you are today, it is part of a bigger journey. Remembering that journey is key to discerning and making the next move.

This week is about stopping, putting down the struggle and the mental effort, and setting the intention to see the macro.

Where are you going?

Who are you?

How does this situation connect with your intention?

Is what is happening REALLY as important as it seems? Or is it actually something that will pass and won't carry that much weight in your path?

Many of you tell me that you want to change your life, that there are things you don't like, but they are still there.

The first step is not to get on a bus to Zihuatanejo.

The first step is to understand what is happening from another perspective. That is where all transformation begins.

Free your perception. Allow yourself to look at things differently and, I guarantee you, everything will begin to change.

This week, leave your sword in the center and come sit by the fire.

The stars will tell us the story of what we have truly come into this world to do, and how our path is helping us get there.

See you by the fire,
Teiwaz

The 4 Steps to Overcome Attachment and Recover Your Power https://innersparklife.com/4-steps-overcome-attachment-recover-your-power/ Mon, 29 Jun 2026 14:53:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/4-steps-overcome-attachment-recover-your-power/ Most of us believe we are choosing our life. But if we keep repeating the same negative patterns and negative habits, the uncomfortable question is: who is really choosing?

We may feel that we are in control. We choose what we eat, who we love, where we go, what we say, how we spend our time. We tell ourselves that we are free. And yet, again and again, we arrive at the same inner place: the same conflict in relationship, the same fear around money, the same need for approval, the same comfort that makes us weaker, the same habit that drains our energy.

This is where the work with attachment begins.

Attachment is not only about clinging to a person. It can hide inside food, money, comfort, image, identity, routine, recognition, pleasure, emotional drama, the need to be liked, or even the thoughts we cannot stop repeating. Attachment is any relationship with the world that is based on necessity, scarcity, dependency, or fear.

And yet, attachment is not the enemy.

This is important. If we approach our attachments with shame, guilt, or moral judgment, we usually push them deeper into the shadows. We pretend they are not there. We hide behind masks. We create a personality that looks free on the outside while something inside us is still afraid, hungry, tense, or dependent.

But when we learn how to look at attachment with honesty, it becomes a teacher. It shows us exactly where our freedom is missing. It shows us where our life energy is trapped. It shows us where we are still looking outside for something that must eventually be discovered within: love, worth, safety, power, direction, or truth.

The hidden gift of attachment is that, if we follow it to the root, it can lead us directly toward freedom.

What Attachment Really Is

An attachment is a relationship with something external that we experience as necessary for our inner stability.

It may be a person. It may be money. It may be food, comfort, beauty, success, sexuality, attention, social recognition, or spiritual identity. It may even be a personality: the good person, the clever one, the funny one, the strong one, the helpful one, the one who never needs anything.

At first, these things may look ordinary. There is nothing wrong with food, money, love, pleasure, rest, or recognition. Life is not asking us to reject the world. The problem begins when our relationship with these things is no longer free.

We can recognize attachment by the emotional charge around it.

If not having something immediately creates fear, anger, anxiety, tension, shame, collapse, control, or resentment, we are probably touching an attachment. If losing something makes us feel as if we are losing ourselves, something deeper is involved. If we know a habit is hurting us but we keep returning to it, there is an energy behind the habit that has not yet been understood.

Attachment creates intensity. It creates friction in the exact area where it lives.

If we are attached to relationship, relationship becomes full of fear and control. If we are attached to money, money becomes a mirror of self-worth. If we are attached to image, other people’s opinions begin to rule our nervous system. If we are attached to comfort, our body loses vitality. If we are attached to a personality, life becomes a performance.

This is why attachment is so powerful. It does not only create suffering. It starts making choices for us.

From the hidden places of our unconscious, attachment begins to guide our actions. We believe, “I am choosing this.” But often, what is really choosing is fear. Or need. Or the old pain that we have not yet dared to feel.

Attachment Is Not a Personal Failure

The first healing movement is to remove condemnation.

We all have attachments. Every human being has some area where freedom is not complete. One person may be very free in relationships but deeply attached to money. Another may be generous with money but terrified of intimacy. Someone may look strong and independent but be secretly dependent on recognition. Someone may look spiritual but be attached to the image of being spiritual.

This is not a sign that something is wrong with us. It is part of the human journey.

The great spiritual traditions have always spoken about detachment because attachment is one of the deepest structures of human suffering. To be fully detached does not mean to be cold, distant, or indifferent. It means to be inwardly free. It means to love without fear. To act without slavery. To enjoy without clinging. To lose without collapsing. To give without needing to control.

Real detachment is not rejection of life. It is freedom inside life.

This is why the work cannot begin with violence against ourselves. We cannot shame ourselves into freedom. Shame keeps attachment in the shadows. Awareness begins to bring it into the light.

You cannot transform what you refuse to see.

Step 1: Stop Hiding Your Attachments

The first step is simple, but not easy: stop hiding and denying your attachments.

Most of us have learned to cover our dependencies. We show one version of ourselves in public and live another version in private. We may pretend we do not care about approval, but inside we are constantly measuring how others see us. We may pretend we are relaxed around money, but inside we feel fear, comparison, or scarcity. We may pretend we are emotionally free, but one message, one silence, or one rejection can take over our whole inner world.

This hiding creates a false life.

When we are surrounded by fake interactions, the truth becomes more and more inaccessible. We lose contact with what is actually happening inside us. We start living from personality instead of honesty.

The first step is not to defeat the attachment. That comes later. The first step is to see it.

To say, with sincerity: “This is here.”

This is my attachment to being liked. This is my attachment to food. This is my attachment to comfort. This is my attachment to being the good one. This is my attachment to control. This is my attachment to a person, to an image, to success, to being right, to being safe.

This recognition already begins to recover power, because what remains unconscious controls us. What becomes conscious can be worked with.

The trap at this stage is shame.

When we see an attachment, the mind may quickly say, “This is bad. I am weak. I should not be like this.” But shame does not open the process. Shame closes it. It creates an energetic conclusion: something is wrong with me. And once we reach that conclusion, curiosity disappears.

Curiosity is far more useful than condemnation.

Instead of saying, “I am stupid for repeating this,” we can ask, “What is this habit protecting? What fear is behind it? What pain does it cover? What energy is trapped here?”

This is the beginning of freedom.

Step 2: Connect the Attachment With Your Path

Once we recognize an attachment, we need to connect it with our life path.

Many people try to change habits from a moral perspective. “This is bad, so I must stop.” “This is wrong, so I should change.” But moral judgment is usually weak. It may create pressure, but it rarely creates deep transformation.

A stronger question is: what life am I unable to create because this attachment is controlling my energy?

This question changes everything.

Imagine someone wants to stop smoking only because “smoking is bad.” That statement may be true, but it often remains abstract. Now imagine the same person receives a serious health warning and realizes, “If I continue, I may not be alive to enjoy my child’s life.” Or imagine they feel, deeply in the heart, “I want to run, play, travel, love, and live fully with my family. I need my vitality for that.”

The second motivation has much more power.

Why? Because the attachment is now connected with life. It is connected with purpose. It is connected with love, direction, and something worth fighting for.

This is essential because the energy invested in an attachment must be transferred somewhere. If we remove a habit but do not have a deeper direction, the energy often returns to another habit. But when the energy is connected to a real purpose, it can begin to move toward creation.

The energy trapped in comfort can become energy for the body.

The energy trapped in approval can become energy for truth.

The energy trapped in fear can become energy for courage.

The energy trapped in addiction can become energy for devotion, service, discipline, art, love, or a meaningful path.

When we do not have a strong direction in life, our energy naturally tends to fall into attachments and negative habits. The human being needs a path. We need a direction that gives our energy somewhere higher to go.

This does not mean everyone needs a dramatic mission. It means we need something honest. Something that matters. Something that awakens life in us.

Ask yourself:

What do I truly want to create?

What kind of body, relationship, work, family, service, spiritual life, or inner state do I want to live?

And how is this attachment taking energy away from that?

When you see the connection clearly, motivation becomes real. You are no longer fighting a habit because it is “bad.” You are reclaiming energy because your life needs it.

Step 3: Challenge the Attachment With Awareness

After recognition and motivation, the practical work begins.

An attachment must be challenged. But it must be challenged with awareness, not with ego.

This distinction matters. If we challenge an attachment from ego, we may become extreme, violent, proud, or reckless. We may try to prove something. We may force ourselves into intensity that overwhelms the nervous system. Then we lose presence, and the practice becomes another form of unconsciousness.

If the challenge is too small, nothing changes. If the challenge is too big, we collapse or become reactive. The art is to find the right intensity: enough to awaken the emotion, but not so much that we lose consciousness.

Imagine someone is attached to the couch. Every evening, they spend three or four hours lying down, scrolling, watching, eating, or escaping. They know it is draining their vitality, but they repeat it every day.

If they suddenly decide, “Tomorrow I will climb Everest,” the challenge is too extreme. It may create injury, discouragement, or failure. But if they say, “Instead of lying down for four hours, I will rest for two hours and then go to the park for movement, stretching, and walking,” something useful begins.

They will feel the attachment. They will miss the couch. They will feel resistance, tiredness, irritation, or emotional discomfort. But the intensity may still be low enough to observe.

This is the key: to stay present while the attachment is activated.

The same principle applies to spiritual practice. Meditation challenges our attachment to thought. Fasting challenges our attachment to food, stimulation, and comfort. Silence challenges our attachment to noise and distraction. Dance may challenge the rigid adult personality that wants to remain controlled and serious. Service challenges the attachment to self-importance. Pilgrimage, hikes, retreats, and physical practices challenge comfort, fear, and the limits of the body.

But the technique itself is not magic.

A practice becomes transformative only when it touches the right attachment, at the right intensity, while we remain conscious.

This is why one person may need silence, another movement, another fasting, another honest conversation, another boundary, another act of service, another physical challenge. The right practice is the one that awakens what needs to be seen.

The purpose is not to suffer for the sake of suffering. The purpose is to create a conscious encounter with the energy that usually controls us from the shadows.

We temporarily stay away from the object of attachment and observe what arises: fear, tension, anger, sadness, emptiness, craving, mental loops, memories, or old pain. Beneath attachment, there is almost always fear or suffering. If we can remain present, that energy begins to reveal itself and eventually release.

If we do not work proactively with our attachments, life will often bring situations that challenge them anyway. But life’s challenges can be much more intense. A breakup, a financial crisis, a health issue, a conflict, a loss, a humiliation, or a sudden change may force us to see what we avoided.

The more conscious path is to begin working before life has to shout.

Step 4: Walk Toward a Greater Life

The fourth step goes deeper.

It is possible to work with specific attachments one by one: food, money, comfort, relationship, approval, habits, routines. This already brings transformation. But some attachments are more hidden. They live deeper in the unconscious.

These are attachments to identity, personality, childhood protection patterns, the body, control, safety, and the false self we created to survive.

If we live only an average life of survival, comfort, distraction, and mild pleasure, some of these deeper attachments may never fully surface. We may improve certain habits, but the deepest contractions remain hidden.

To reach them, we need to walk toward a greater life.

Not greatness according to society. Not fame, status, or external achievement. A greater life means the highest, most authentic life that feels true to your soul. A calling. A vision. A mission. A path. A form of love, service, creation, leadership, devotion, or truth that asks you to become more real.

When we walk toward what deeply inspires us, our limitations rise to the surface.

If your soul asks you to speak, your attachment to being liked will appear. If your path asks you to lead, your fear of judgment will appear. If your heart asks you to love, your fear of rejection will appear. If your work asks you to create, your perfectionism will appear. If life asks you to set a boundary, your attachment to being the good person will appear.

This is not a mistake. This is the path working.

Greatness challenges the contracted parts inside us. It brings them into the light so they can be seen, worked with, and eventually released.

Many of our personalities were created as protection. A child who experienced judgment may become the good one. A child who experienced rejection may become the invisible one. A child who experienced chaos may become the controller. A child who experienced emotional pain may become the strong one who never needs anything.

These personalities once helped us survive. But later, they can become prisons.

At some point, life asks for truth. It asks us to say no when we mean no. To say yes when we truly mean yes. To stop smiling when something is not aligned. To stop betraying ourselves to keep peace. To stop performing a personality and begin living from being.

This is deep work. It requires commitment to an authentic direction.

Not a vague wish. Not an idea. A path that is fed daily. A path that asks for your truth again and again until the false self becomes visible.

This is why conflict and friction are not always signs that something is wrong. Sometimes they reveal exactly where freedom is missing. If we avoid confrontation by default, we often stay trapped in the old personality. But when we meet friction consciously, we begin to see who has been choosing: truth, or fear?

To become free, we must become real.

Love Without Fear

The purpose of detachment is not to become cold.

This misunderstanding is common in spiritual life. Some people imagine detachment as a distant state where nothing touches us, nothing matters, and we float above human emotion. But this can easily become another personality: the spiritual person who is “above everything.”

Real detachment is much more alive than that.

We do not work with attachment to love less. We work with attachment so that we can love more freely.

With less necessity.

Less fear.

Less control.

More presence.

More truth.

More soul.

When we are attached, love becomes mixed with anxiety. We need the other person to behave in a certain way so that we can feel safe. We need life to give us a certain result so that we can feel worthy. We need comfort to remain untouched so that we do not have to feel our fear.

But when attachment begins to dissolve, love becomes cleaner. We can enjoy without clinging. We can give without manipulating. We can speak truth without needing approval. We can lose something without losing ourselves.

This is inner freedom.

It does not happen in one moment. It is a path. We recognize. We connect the attachment with our life direction. We challenge it with awareness. And eventually, we walk toward a greater life that asks us to become fully ourselves.

Your attachments are not proof that you are broken.

They are signs. They show where your energy is trapped. They show where fear is still choosing. They show where life is inviting you to recover your power.

Inner Spark retreat path and spiritual practice

So begin simply.

What attachment have you recognized?

Which of the four steps do you need to work with now?

And what small practice can you begin this week, not to punish yourself, but to become more free?

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom https://innersparklife.com/borrowed-value-vs-self-worth/ Mon, 01 Jun 2026 10:00:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/?p=22771 There is a very subtle moment when freedom disappears.

It does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like checking your phone again to see if someone liked what you posted. Sometimes it looks like needing your partner to say the right thing before you can relax. Sometimes it looks like waiting for your boss, your family, your bank account, or the world around you to confirm that you are okay.

And in that moment, something changes.

What was alive becomes tense. What was playful becomes serious. What was spontaneous becomes strategic. You stop moving from your own center and begin to move around the possibility of receiving something from outside: approval, affection, recognition, security, status, money, validation.

This is the transition from play to duty.

When you do not need something, you can relate to it freely. You can enjoy it. You can be creative with it. You can play. But the moment you need it in order to feel okay, the relationship changes. Fear enters. Tension enters. Dependency enters.

You no longer meet the world from freedom. You meet it from hunger.

And this is where borrowed value begins.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 1

The Moment Neediness Replaces Freedom

Think about a child playing.

A child does not usually ask whether the game is productive enough, whether the toy is giving enough status, whether the drawing will receive enough approval, or whether the experience is useful according to adult standards. A child enters life with a simple movement: let’s play.

Then the adult world appears.

Do not play with that. It is serious.

Do not touch the plate. You will break it.

Do not dream too much. Life is hard.

Do not be childish. You will understand when you grow up.

Slowly, a new relationship with life is installed. Money is serious. Work is serious. Food is serious. Relationships are serious. Status is serious. The future is serious. The body is serious. Everything becomes something to protect, manage, prove, secure, and defend.

Of course, there is a mature and necessary part of responsibility. We need to care for things. We need to work. We need money. We need relationships. We need to participate in life. The problem is not that these things exist.

The problem begins when our sense of value depends on them.

When money is no longer something we use, but something that decides whether we can respect ourselves.

When love is no longer something we share, but something we need to receive in the exact form that makes us feel real.

When work is no longer an expression of our energy, but a stage where we beg to be recognized.

When family approval is no longer a beautiful blessing, but a hidden authority that determines whether we can trust our own path.

This is the moment freedom begins to shrink.

Not because love, money, family, recognition, or success are bad. They are not bad. It is beautiful when your partner tells you, “I love you.” It is beautiful when your family supports you. It is beautiful when your work is appreciated. It is beautiful when money flows and allows you to move, create, and take care of life.

The question is different:

What happens when you need it?

What happens when you cannot feel solid without it?

What happens when the absence of that external confirmation makes you lose your strength, your confidence, your vitality, your center?

That is where the real work begins.

What Borrowed Value Really Is

Borrowed value is value that comes from outside under conditions.

It is the sense of worth you receive when someone approves of you, when the system recognizes you, when your partner gives you affection, when your family validates your choices, when your post receives attention, when your bank account looks the way you think it should look, when your identity is reflected back to you in a flattering way.

It is not fake. This is important.

When someone gives you love, you feel it. When someone praises your work, you feel it. When your boss recognizes you in front of others, you feel energy. When your partner smiles at you with warmth, something in your body opens. When your family says, “We are proud of you,” you may feel a wave of relief.

This energy is real.

The issue is not that external value is false. The issue is that it is conditional.

To receive the compliment, you may need to perform.

To receive the affection, you may need to behave in a certain way.

To receive the validation, you may need to choose a path that does not disturb others too much.

To receive the money, you may need to keep playing a role that drains your soul.

To receive the social approval, you may need to express not what is true, but what people are likely to reward.

This is why borrowed value is like borrowed money. It may help you for a moment, but it comes with a debt. You receive energy, but you give something back. Often you give back more than you realize.

You give time.

You give authenticity.

You give vitality.

You give freedom.

You give pieces of your path.

And little by little, the relationship becomes expensive.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 2

Where We Outsource Our Worth

The places where we outsource our value are often ordinary. They do not always look spiritual or dramatic. They are woven into daily life.

One person borrows value from social media. They post something, but the post is no longer a free expression. It becomes a performance. They are not asking, “What wants to move through me?” They are asking, “What do they need to see in order to like me?”

Another person borrows value from romantic love. They cannot feel loved unless the other person says the right words, gives the right attention, responds at the right time, or chooses them in a specific way. The relationship stops being a meeting between two free beings and becomes a negotiation with inner emptiness.

Another person borrows value from status, achievement, money, or recognition. They need to be admired, congratulated, seen as smart, seen as powerful, seen as successful. When the world applauds, they breathe. When the applause disappears, they collapse.

Another person borrows value from family approval. They feel strong until a parent, an authority figure, or an old family voice questions their path. Then something shakes. Their vitality drops. Their confidence disappears. They may be adults, but inside there is still a hidden dependency on being accepted by the old structure.

For women, this can appear through deep social conditioning around being chosen, being with a man, being lovable, being desirable, being approved as a woman.

For men, it often appears through status, recognition, achievements, money, competence, and the pressure to prove strength.

These are not rigid rules. Every person is different. But the pattern is everywhere:

Some external thing becomes the source through which we feel valuable.

And because we need it, we start adapting ourselves to keep receiving it.

That adaptation is the beginning of the loss of freedom.

The Hidden Price of External Validation

Every dependency asks for something in return.

To receive approval, you adapt.

To receive love, you negotiate.

To receive recognition, you overextend.

To receive security, you may betray your direction.

To receive belonging, you may silence your truth.

The price is not always obvious in the beginning. It can feel normal. It can even feel responsible. You tell yourself that this is how life works. You compromise. You adjust. You play the game.

And sometimes compromise is healthy. Relationships need care. Work needs discipline. Family requires sensitivity. Society requires a certain level of cooperation.

But there is a point where compromise becomes fragmentation.

You want to go to the mountains, but you go to the beach because your partner will be happier and then you will receive the smile, the warmth, the “I love you” that you need.

You want to speak honestly, but you soften your truth because your family might worry, judge, or withdraw support.

You want to create something real, but you shape it into what the algorithm, the market, or the audience is more likely to reward.

You want to change your life, but the structure that gives you borrowed value also holds you in place.

This creates a split in the energy.

One part of you moves toward what is true. Another part moves toward what is rewarded. One part wants freedom. Another part wants permission. One part wants to live. Another part wants to be safe.

And when this split becomes chronic, you lose integrity.

Not moral integrity in the superficial sense. Energetic integrity. The feeling that your life, your speech, your choices, your body, your direction, and your inner truth are moving as one.

This is why real transformation is so difficult if we do not change the way we receive value.

People often try to change their lives while keeping the same dependencies intact. They want a new path, but they still need the same validation. They want freedom, but they still need everyone to approve. They want to follow the soul, but they still need the old system to feed them emotionally.

This does not work for long.

To create real change, you need free energy.

And to have free energy, you need to recover at least part of the value that you outsourced.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 3

Breaking the Tubes

There is a powerful image in The Matrix.

Neo wakes up and realizes he has been connected to tubes. He has been receiving energy and food passively from a system that kept him asleep. When he is disconnected, it is not immediately beautiful. It is painful. His body is weak. His eyes hurt because, as Morpheus says, he has never used them before.

This is a very strong metaphor for the spiritual path.

When we live through borrowed value, we are connected to tubes. Tubes of approval. Tubes of recognition. Tubes of romantic dependency. Tubes of family validation. Tubes of status. Tubes of money. Tubes of identity. Tubes of social belonging.

They feed us, yes.

But they also keep us dependent.

If you want to turn your life toward something more true, some tubes must be removed. Not necessarily all at once. Not violently. Not from rebellion or pride. But consciously.

This is why many spiritual traditions speak about leaving something behind.

In the story of Jesus, when people wanted to follow his truth, he said, “Leave everything and follow me.” This is an extreme example, and it does not mean that everyone needs to abandon their house, their family, or their life tomorrow. The point is deeper.

To follow truth, you must become free from the structures that decide your worth for you.

Sometimes this means leaving a job.

Sometimes it means changing a country.

Sometimes it means having a difficult conversation with family.

Sometimes it means losing an identity.

Sometimes it means simply not obeying the inner voice that says, “You cannot do this unless they approve.”

The form is different for every person.

But the principle is the same:

You cannot move into a deeper life while every part of your energy is still tied to the old sources of value.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 4

The First Gate: Meeting the Void

The first stage of recovering intrinsic self-worth is the most uncomfortable one.

It is the void.

The void appears when something that used to feed your value disappears. A relationship ends. A job collapses. A role no longer works. A dream fails. A person stops validating you. The system stops giving you the identity you used to depend on.

Most people call this disaster.

They call it chaos, failure, death, crisis, humiliation, punishment, or proof that something is wrong.

But often, something else is happening.

The external source has been removed, and now you can finally feel the emptiness that was already inside.

This is not pleasant. It can be confusing, painful, and disorienting. When the borrowed value disappears, the inner lack becomes visible. You may feel weak. You may feel empty. You may feel that you do not know who you are anymore.

But this is not the end of the path.

It is the beginning of the real one.

The void reveals the truth. It shows where your vitality was missing. It shows where low self-worth was hidden under external support. It shows where you were surviving by receiving energy passively from outside.

At this point, many people react by looking for a substitute.

Another partner.

Another job.

Another identity.

Another source of attention.

Another achievement.

Another distraction.

And of course, the loop continues.

The deeper path is different. Instead of immediately filling the emptiness with another external source, you enter the void consciously. You learn to stay. You learn to observe. You learn to breathe. You learn to stop judging yourself for being there.

This is not weakness.

This is a necessary gate.

If you are in such a place now, if something has fallen away and you are touching this empty space, it may not be a curse. It may be an opportunity. A difficult one, yes. But a real one.

Because once you can see the void, you can begin to fill it from within.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 5

The Second Gate: Rebuilding Vitality

Self-worth is not only a mental belief.

It is not simply repeating, “I am worthy,” while the body remains passive, the energy remains low, and the life remains small.

Real self-worth is connected with vitality.

It is connected with how much life-force you can channel. How much initiative you can hold. How much action you can take. How much intensity you can meet. How much reality you can influence, shape, create, and move through.

This is why money is such a powerful symbol. Money is value represented in the material world. Where there is money, there is often power: the power to move, to do, to choose, to influence, to create options. This does not mean money is the highest form of value. It is not. But it shows us something important.

Value and power are connected.

And inner value is connected with inner power.

Not power over people. Not domination. Not control.

Power as the capacity to act.

Power as vital energy.

Power as fire.

Power as the feeling: I can do things. I can move. I can respond. I can create. I can enter life.

Borrowed value is often passive. You lie there, like Neo in the capsule, and receive energy from the system. You wait for the message, the compliment, the payment, the like, the approval, the hug, the confirmation.

Intrinsic value is active.

It grows when you engage life.

This is why the body matters. Nature matters. Movement matters. Challenge matters. Dance matters. Cold water can matter. Physical intensity can matter. Social intensity can matter. Theater, performance, voice, confrontation, creative risk, spiritual practice, ritual, discipline, and honest action can all matter.

Not because suffering is good.

But because vitality returns when you stop living only as a receiver and begin living as a participant.

The more things you feel able to do, the more value you feel inside.

The more you move through intensity, the more your system learns: I am alive. I can meet this. I can act. I can express. I can create.

This is one of the great challenges of modern life. So much around us invites us into passivity: screens, endless consumption, comfort without direction, entertainment without embodiment, opinions without action.

A passive state makes dependency easier.

When vitality is low, we borrow value from others.

When vitality rises, we begin to rely on our own energy.

Borrowed Value vs. Self-Worth: How to Recover a Deeper Kind of Freedom - article image 6

The Third Gate: Purpose Big Enough for Your Energy

There is a third element in the process: purpose.

Your purpose, your direction, your intention, your meaningful goals, and the deeper journey of your life create the channel through which your energy can flow.

This is a simple but powerful question:

When you go to bed at night, do you feel that something in you was lived today?

Do you feel that something was said, expressed, risked, created, offered, or moved?

Or do you feel that something remained undone, not because you needed more productivity, but because your real life did not have enough space?

There is a kind of self-worth that appears when you can say, “Maybe I did not arrive where I wanted today, but I gave everything I could give to something meaningful.”

This feeling matters.

If you become aware of the void and you rebuild vitality, but you do not choose a purpose that is big enough for you, there will be a ceiling.

Not big according to society. Not impressive according to other people. Not necessarily ambitious in a conventional sense.

Big for you.

Something that asks for your real energy.

Something that makes your soul stand up.

Something that gives your vitality a direction.

Maybe it is a journey. Maybe it is a retreat. Maybe it is a project. Maybe it is making money in a new way. Maybe it is creating a community. Maybe it is changing your home. Maybe it is speaking your truth. Maybe it is healing your body. Maybe it is entering a spiritual path more seriously. Maybe it is finally doing the thing you have been postponing for years.

The point is not whether the world thinks it is big.

The point is whether it is big enough to awaken you.

There is an existential law here:

You cannot channel more vital energy than you are willing to use.

With money, you can receive more than you spend and keep the rest in the bank. You may earn five thousand euros, spend two thousand, and save three thousand.

Vital energy does not work like that.

You are a channel. The energy that comes to you is connected with the purpose you are developing. If your life purpose only requires two units of energy, your system will not easily channel ten. There is nowhere for it to go.

This is why strong purpose brings strong energy.

And strong energy brings challenges.

When you make a real decision, when you say, “Next year I will go to Peru,” or “I will finally do the journey I have wanted for ten years,” or “I will change this element of my life,” something wakes up. The next morning, life may already start moving. Problems may appear. Resistance may appear. The body may react. People may call. Challenges may come.

This does not mean the decision was wrong.

It means energy has been awakened.

Strong purpose activates strong energy. Strong energy reveals everything that must be integrated for you to walk the path.

This is where many people retreat. They feel the intensity and think, “No, no, this is too much.” They put the dream away. They return to average goals, distractions, survival, waiting for the weekend, waiting for summer holidays, waiting for life to become safe enough to live.

But when you betray the journey that burns inside you, self-worth cannot fully grow.

Something in you knows.

You may be comfortable. You may be functioning. You may be accepted. But the person in the mirror will not be fully smiling.

Because deep self-worth comes when you are walking the path that is truly yours.

The Return to Real Freedom

When borrowed value begins to lose its power over you, you do not become cold.

You do not become isolated.

You do not stop loving people.

You do not reject money, relationship, family, society, recognition, or success.

You simply stop needing them to define your worth.

And because you do not need them in the same way, you can meet them more freely.

You can love without bargaining for identity.

You can receive money without worshiping it.

You can accept praise without becoming addicted to it.

You can listen to your family without abandoning your path.

You can create without being enslaved by the reaction.

You can say yes.

You can say no.

You can stay.

You can leave.

You can speak.

You can be silent.

You can play again.

This is a deeper kind of freedom.

Not the freedom of doing whatever you want without consequence. Not childish rebellion. Not spiritual fantasy.

It is the freedom that comes when your value is no longer outsourced.

From this place, love becomes more possible. Real love requires freedom. If I need you to make me feel valuable, I will manipulate you, fear you, resent you, or adapt myself to keep you. If I meet you from my own center, I can actually love you.

I can enjoy your presence without turning you into my oxygen.

I can receive your affection without making you responsible for my existence.

I can let you be free because I am no longer trying to survive through you.

This is why the path of self-worth is not selfish.

It is a path back to love.

The Practice: Observe Without Judgment

The first practical step is simple:

Notice where you borrow value.

Do not judge yourself. Do not make it another reason to criticize yourself. This is not about saying, “I am weak,” or “I am wrong,” or “I should be above this.”

No.

This is part of the journey back.

Ask yourself:

What external thing, when it fails, makes me lose my state?

Whose opinion can still shake my vitality?

Where do I adapt myself in order to receive approval?

Where do I negotiate my truth in order to receive love?

Where do I overextend in order to receive recognition?

Where do I feel empty when the world does not respond?

Where do I still ask for permission to be who I am?

Write it down if needed.

Bring awareness.

Create space.

Breathe.

The point is not to destroy every dependency in one day. The point is to see clearly. Awareness already begins to loosen the tube. Once you see where the value is being borrowed, you can begin to reclaim it.

Then comes the deeper work:

Entering the void consciously.

Rebuilding vitality.

Choosing a purpose that is truly yours.

Walking the path practically, not only thinking about it.

Because the real journey starts when we apply.

Invitation

If this speaks to something in you, if you recognize that you are ready to recover your own energy, your self-worth, your freedom, and your deeper path, there are ways to walk this with guidance.

Through personal development work, spiritual practice, coaching, embodied processes, yoga, retreats, and honest inner work, it is possible to move step by step from dependency into a more solid relationship with yourself.

You do not need to do it all at once.

You do not need to do it alone.

But you do need to begin telling the truth.

Where are you borrowing value?

Where is your vitality waiting to return?

What purpose is big enough to awaken you?

And what would your life become if your value came from within?

That is where the path opens.

That is where freedom begins again.

How to Turn Stress and Anxiety Into Living Energy https://innersparklife.com/how-to-turn-stress-and-anxiety-into-living-energy/ Mon, 25 May 2026 11:40:00 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/?p=22747 Most people approach stress as something that needs to disappear as quickly as possible. We feel tension in the body, pressure in the mind, emotional restlessness, or that familiar sensation of being trapped inside ourselves, and the first impulse is usually to escape it. We look for relief, distraction, control, silence, distance. Sometimes this is understandable, and sometimes even necessary. But if escaping becomes our only response, we may miss the deeper message hidden inside the experience.

Stress and anxiety are not always signs that something is wrong with us. Very often, they are signs that energy is blocked inside us. Something wants to move, but it has no channel. Something wants to be expressed, but it has been held back. A truth, a decision, a desire, an emotion, a movement, a word, a creative impulse, a boundary. When these forces are not allowed to circulate, they do not simply vanish. They gather, contract, and become pressure.

This is why the question "How do I get rid of stress?" may not be the most useful starting point. A deeper question would be: "What is this stress made of?" Or even more directly: "What part of me is not being expressed?"

In many modern approaches, stress is treated mainly as a problem to manage. We are told to calm down, breathe, rest, organize our schedule, reduce stimulation, think positively, or avoid unnecessary triggers. All of this can be helpful at the right moment. But there is another level, one that is less about managing stress and more about transforming it. In the yogic and spiritual traditions, this is the path of transmutation: the capacity to change the quality of an inner energy.

The energy that appears as anxiety can become movement. The energy that feels like fear can become clarity. The pressure that seems unbearable can become action, creativity, honesty, love, or vitality. This does not happen by denying what we feel, and it does not happen by forcing ourselves to be calm. It happens when we learn to meet the energy consciously and give it a true direction.

This article is an invitation to look at stress and anxiety from that perspective. Not as enemies, not as failures, and not as things to suppress, but as signals. They may be showing us where life has become contracted, where expression has stopped, and where a deeper part of us is asking to become free.

Stress Is Personal: The Same Symptoms Can Have Different Roots

One of the mistakes we often make with stress and anxiety is assuming that the same symptom must have the same cause for everyone. Two people can say, "I feel anxious," and from the outside it may look similar. Both may feel restless, tense, overwhelmed, unable to relax, or trapped in repetitive thoughts. But the inner source can be completely different.

For one person, stress may be activated mainly through relationships. A conversation with a partner, a family gathering, a conflict that has not been resolved, or the fear of disappointing someone can create a strong contraction. For another person, the main trigger may be money, work, financial insecurity, deadlines, responsibility, or the pressure to achieve visible results. Someone else may feel anxiety most strongly when they need to make a decision, because every real decision opens one path and closes others. Another person may be especially sensitive to uncertainty, risk, and the future.

This is why universal formulas often fail. They may help for a moment, but they do not always touch the true root. If the stress is connected with a blocked conversation, taking a bath may relax the nervous system but it will not replace the conversation. If the anxiety comes from a truth you are not admitting to yourself, a breathing exercise may give you space, but it will not live your truth for you. If the pressure comes from a decision you keep postponing, no amount of distraction will remove the fact that life is waiting for your participation.

This does not mean that practical tools are useless. Rest, breath, movement, meditation, organization, and nervous system regulation all have their place. But they become much more powerful when they are connected with self-knowledge. Stress becomes easier to transform when we stop asking only, "How can I feel better right now?" and begin asking, "Where is this coming from in my life?"

The beginning of the path is observation. In which area does stress appear most often for you? Around love, money, work, family, sex, creativity, responsibility, truth, or the future? What kind of situation makes your body contract? What do you usually avoid when that contraction appears?

These questions are not meant to create self-criticism. They are meant to bring consciousness. The moment you begin to see the pattern, you are no longer completely inside the pattern. A small space opens. And in that space, transformation becomes possible.

The Path of Avoidance: The Relief That Slowly Becomes a Prison

The most common way we deal with stress is avoidance. If a conversation creates tension, we avoid the conversation. If a person makes us uncomfortable, we avoid the person. If a responsibility creates pressure, we postpone it. If a decision brings uncertainty, we tell ourselves we will think about it tomorrow. There is always something else to do. We clean, scroll, shop, work, watch something, answer easier messages, or create a cloud of activity around the thing we do not want to face.

At first, avoidance feels intelligent. The tension goes down. The difficult situation disappears from the immediate field of experience. We feel safer, lighter, more in control. The nervous system receives a small reward because the perceived threat is no longer in front of us.

But the deeper problem has not been transformed. It has only been moved out of sight.

This is why avoidance can become so seductive. It gives relief without resolution. It reduces discomfort without creating real change. It allows us to escape the sensation of stress while leaving the root untouched. And because it works in the short term, we return to it again and again.

Over time, this creates a very subtle form of shrinking. We do not only avoid one conversation; we begin avoiding all conversations that carry emotional intensity. We do not only postpone one decision; we develop the habit of staying in suspended life. We do not only avoid one conflict; we begin to organize our personality around not disturbing anyone, not risking anything, not entering the unknown.

Life becomes narrower. Less dangerous, perhaps, but also less alive.

This is important to say clearly: not every withdrawal is avoidance. Sometimes leaving is conscious. Sometimes distance is healthy. Sometimes we try to repair a situation, we face it honestly, we take responsibility, and then we realize that the right movement is to leave. That is not avoidance. That is power. That is a decision made from clarity.

Avoidance is different. Avoidance is when we react to discomfort by escaping before we have truly met the situation, felt what it activates in us, or discovered what action is needed. It is not the same to leave because we have seen clearly, and to leave because we cannot tolerate feeling.

The question is not, "Am I staying or leaving?" The deeper question is, "From where am I moving? From fear, or from consciousness?"

How to Turn Stress and Anxiety Into Living Energy - section image 2

Why Avoidance Makes Life Smaller

Avoidance does not only keep us away from pain. It also keeps us away from the parts of life that require intensity. And most of what is meaningful requires intensity.

Love requires intensity. Truth requires intensity. Creativity requires intensity. A real decision requires intensity. Starting something new requires intensity. Ending something that is no longer true requires intensity. Entering a deeper spiritual path requires intensity. Even joy can be intense, because joy asks us to open, receive, and let life touch us.

If we build our life around avoiding inner tension, we may also end up avoiding the very experiences that would bring expansion. We choose what is familiar, not what is alive. We choose what does not disturb us, not what calls us. We choose what keeps the system stable, even if the system is making us unhappy.

This is how a person can become more sensitive and less free at the same time. The more we avoid intensity, the less capacity we have to meet intensity. The less we face, the more threatening everything feels. A difficult conversation becomes unbearable. A new opportunity feels too risky. A change in routine feels like danger. The unknown becomes an enemy.

And then life begins to repeat itself.

There is a particular sadness in this kind of repetition. It is not dramatic from the outside. It may even look stable. But inside, something becomes gray. A person may continue functioning, working, answering messages, fulfilling obligations, and still feel that the living field of experience has become smaller. Less contact, less risk, less desire, less adventure, less truth.

This is why avoidance cannot be the final answer to stress and anxiety. It may protect us in a moment, but if it becomes our main strategy, it weakens our relationship with life. We may feel temporarily safe, but we lose strength. We may avoid pain, but we also avoid transformation.

The root remains inside. The fear remains inside. The blocked energy remains inside. And because it has not been transformed, it often grows. What we do not face does not disappear simply because we do not look at it.

Sooner or later, life asks us to recover the energy we have abandoned.

The Path of Transmutation: When Fear Becomes Movement

There is another path. Instead of organizing life around avoiding stress, we can learn to transform the energy inside it. This is the path of transmutation.

To transmute means to change the quality of an energy. It does not mean pretending the energy is not there. It does not mean forcing ourselves to be peaceful. It means meeting what is present and giving it a different direction. What first appears as anxiety can become movement. What feels like fear can become alertness, presence, action, or clarity. What feels like pressure can become creativity, decision, or strength.

We already know this from ordinary life. Before an important moment, an athlete may feel nervous, tense, full of thoughts, full of pressure. Before the match begins, the energy can feel like fear. But when the game starts, that same energy enters the body, the eyes, the legs, the instinct, the action. It becomes focus. It becomes responsiveness. It becomes performance.

The energy was not removed. It was transformed through involvement.

The same happens in many personal moments. You may be invited into something that excites you and scares you at the same time: a trip, a date, a new project, a difficult conversation, a ceremony, a creative act, a public expression. Before saying yes, the energy may feel unstable. Part fear, part desire, part uncertainty, part life. If you say no only because of fear, that same energy may later become heaviness, regret, sadness, or self-criticism. But if you say yes consciously, it may become experience, connection, joy, learning, intimacy, courage, or adventure.

This shows something essential: inner energy is not fixed. Fear is not a stone. Anxiety is not a wall. These states can change according to how we relate to them and what we do with them.

From this perspective, the goal is not to never feel fear or stress. That would be an impossible and lifeless goal. The goal is to become capable of working with the energy that appears, instead of becoming its victim.

Transmutation happens when consciousness enters the experience. We stop reacting automatically. We stop believing that the feeling itself is the whole truth. We begin to ask what the energy needs. Does it need action? Movement? Expression? Honesty? Rest? A boundary? A deeper contact with the body? A conversation? A creative channel?

When the right channel appears, the energy begins to move. And when energy moves consciously, stress can become life.

How to Turn Stress and Anxiety Into Living Energy - section image 3

Expression Is the Key: What Does Not Come Out Gathers Inside

Expression means to take out. This simple idea can change the way we understand stress.

When something inside us is not expressed, it remains inside. If it remains inside for a long time, it gathers. If it gathers without movement, it becomes pressure. And if the pressure continues, it may appear as stress, anxiety, irritability, sadness, restlessness, numbness, or even physical tension.

Many people try to solve stress only at the level of symptoms. They want to calm the mind, relax the body, or feel better emotionally. This is understandable, but it does not always touch the deeper mechanism. If stress is being created by a blocked expression, then the medicine must include expression.

We do not say what we need to say. We do not do what we truly want to do. We do not allow ourselves to feel the emotion that is present. We do not move how the body wants to move. We do not show our power. We do not express love. We do not create what wants to be created. We do not speak the truth that we already see.

Sometimes we call this maturity. We tell ourselves that we are being reasonable, controlled, polite, professional, spiritual, or safe. And of course, there is a conscious form of restraint that is healthy. Not every impulse needs to be acted out. Not every feeling needs to be thrown onto another person. But there is a difference between conscious containment and chronic suppression.

Chronic suppression slowly closes the channels of life.

We receive many messages from the environment: do not be too intense, do not be too emotional, do not be too free, do not be too loud, do not be too strange, do not want too much, do not say that, do not move like that. Over time, we may internalize these voices until they become our own self-criticism. Then, even when nobody is stopping us from the outside, we stop ourselves from within.

This is where the map of the chakras becomes useful. Not as an abstract philosophy, but as a practical map of expression. Each chakra can show a different level of the being where energy may be blocked. The body, desire, power, heart, voice, and vision each have their own way of expressing life. When one of these channels closes, stress may gather there.

The question becomes very direct: what part of me is not being allowed to express itself?

How to Turn Stress and Anxiety Into Living Energy - section image 4

Chakra 1: The Body and Physical Freedom

The first chakra is connected with the physical body. At this level, the question is not whether the body looks beautiful, strong, young, or perfect. The deeper question is: how free are you in your body?

Can your energy move through your legs, your belly, your chest, your arms, your breath? Can you inhabit the body from the inside, or do you live mostly in the head, using the body as a tool that carries you from one task to another? Do you feel the body as a living field, or only as something that becomes noticeable when it hurts, gets tired, or creates discomfort?

Many people experience stress first through the body. The shoulders become tight, the neck hardens, the belly contracts, the jaw closes, the breath becomes shallow, or the chest feels compressed. These symptoms are not only mechanical. They can also be signs that energy is not flowing freely through the physical channel.

When stress is rooted at this level, more thinking is not always the medicine. The body may not need another explanation. It may need movement, grounding, breath, contact, rhythm, or rest. A walk can change the quality of the energy. Dancing can open something that thinking cannot reach. Yoga, stretching, shaking, conscious breathing, lying on the floor, going into nature, or simply feeling the weight of the body can begin to restore flow.

This is not about performing movement correctly. It is about letting the body become a channel again. Sometimes the body needs strong movement; sometimes it needs softness. Sometimes it needs discipline; sometimes it needs play. Sometimes it needs to release accumulated tension; sometimes it needs to feel safe enough to rest.

The body is not separate from the spiritual path. It is one of the first places where the path becomes real. If we cannot inhabit the body, we cannot fully inhabit life. And if energy cannot move through the body, it often remains trapped in the mind as worry, control, and repetition.

At the level of the first chakra, transmutation begins by returning to physical presence. Not as an idea, but as a direct experience. Feet on the ground. Breath in the belly. Movement in the joints. Sensation in the skin. Life inside the body again.

Chakra 2: Desire, Pleasure and Life-Force

The second chakra is connected with desire, pleasure, sensuality, creativity, intimacy, and the flowing movement of life. At this level, stress often appears when our relationship with desire becomes blocked, ashamed, compulsive, or disconnected from truth.

Many people are not suffering because they have too much desire. They are suffering because they have buried desire so deeply that life has lost taste. They no longer know what they want, or they know it but judge it immediately. They do not allow themselves to enjoy, to receive, to feel attraction, to play, to create, to enter beauty, to let life touch the senses.

Desire is often misunderstood. To honor desire does not mean obeying every impulse. That would not be freedom; it would be another form of slavery. But rejecting desire completely is also not freedom. When desire is constantly suppressed, it does not disappear. It becomes pressure, frustration, numbness, secret fantasy, resentment, or anxiety. The life-force that wanted to move becomes trapped.

At this level, it is useful to ask: what do I truly want? Not what do I crave mechanically, not what do I use to escape myself, but what genuinely brings me alive? What beauty, contact, creation, intimacy, or experience is calling me? Where did I learn that pleasure is dangerous, selfish, childish, or wrong? Where did I separate spirituality from the living current of the body and heart?

The medicine of the second chakra is not indulgence. It is honest flow. It is learning to feel desire without immediately suppressing it or becoming possessed by it. It is recovering a clean relationship with enjoyment, creativity, and aliveness.

Sometimes this means dancing. Sometimes it means creating art. Sometimes it means allowing intimacy. Sometimes it means spending time in water, music, touch, color, beauty, or nature. Sometimes it simply means admitting to yourself that you want something you have been pretending not to want.

When this energy begins to move consciously, stress can transform into vitality. Not chaos, but vitality. A living current that reconnects you with the fact that life is not only something to manage. It is something to feel.

Chakra 3: Power, Choice and Responsibility

The third chakra is connected with power. Not power over others, but personal power: the capacity to choose, act, take responsibility, set direction, create boundaries, and participate actively in your own life.

A lot of anxiety comes from power we are afraid to use. We feel the decision, but we delay it. We feel the boundary, but we do not say it. We feel the action, but we keep preparing. We feel the direction, but we wait for permission. We tell ourselves that we are confused, but sometimes confusion is only fear wearing a softer face.

At this level, blocked energy often feels like pressure in the belly, frustration, impatience, lack of confidence, resentment, or a sense of being stuck. The person may think too much because the energy that should become action remains trapped in the mind. The more they analyze, the more complex everything becomes. But underneath the complexity, life may be asking for one clean movement.

This is why certain kinds of stress disappear the moment we do the thing. The email is sent. The call is made. The boundary is spoken. The task is started. The decision is made. The body may still feel intensity, but the quality of the energy changes because it is no longer trapped.

The third chakra asks direct questions. Where am I avoiding my own power? Where do I already know the next step, but I am waiting? Where am I giving my authority away? Where am I choosing comfort over truth? Where do I need to act, not aggressively, but clearly?

The medicine here is conscious action. Not impulsive action, not domination, not forcing life from tension, but action that comes from responsibility. There is a way of acting that does not create violence. It simply says, "This is my life, and I participate in it."

Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is make the phone call, finish the work, say no, say yes, leave the situation, begin the project, or stop pretending we have no choice.

When power is reclaimed, stress can become direction. The energy that was burning inside begins to organize itself around a movement. We feel stronger not because life becomes easy, but because we are no longer absent from our own decisions.

Chakra 4: The Heart, Love and Emotional Digestion

The fourth chakra is connected with the heart: love, vulnerability, grief, forgiveness, connection, tenderness, and emotional truth. Stress can gather here when the heart closes around pain that has not been digested.

Life is not always fair or beautiful. People may reject us, misunderstand us, disappoint us, or treat us with little sensitivity. We cannot fully control this. We cannot control whether someone loves us in the way we hoped. We cannot control whether every person behaves consciously. We cannot control whether life protects us from unpleasant experiences.

But we can observe what we do with the feeling that appears inside.

When the heart is hurt, one possible response is contraction. We condemn the other person. We curse life. We build a story in which the world is unsafe, people cannot be trusted, and love is dangerous. Sometimes this reaction is understandable, especially when the pain is fresh. But if we live there too long, the energy of protection can become bitterness. The heart closes, and what was originally pain becomes a hardened identity.

Another possibility is emotional digestion. This does not mean pretending that everything is fine. It does not mean forgiving before we are ready. It does not mean allowing harmful behavior. It means giving space for the real feeling to move: sadness, anger, grief, disappointment, longing, fear, love. Instead of turning the wound immediately into judgment, we use it to understand ourselves more deeply.

The heart transforms through honest feeling. Crying can be medicine. Prayer can be medicine. Speaking with someone safe can be medicine. Silence can be medicine. Placing a hand on the chest and staying with the sensation can be medicine. Time in nature can be medicine. A real apology, either given or received, can be medicine. Forgiveness can also be medicine, but only when it is organic, not when it is used as a spiritual mask.

At this level, the questions are delicate but powerful. What emotion have I not allowed myself to feel? Where did I close? Where did I decide that loving is too risky? Where am I still carrying a rejection as if it defines me? Where has pain become a wall?

The heart does not need to be forced open. It needs space, truth, and tenderness. When the heart begins to digest what it has carried, stress can transform into compassion, clarity, and a deeper capacity to remain open without losing ourselves.

Chakra 5: Voice, Creativity and the Inner Child

The fifth chakra is connected with expression through the voice, creativity, play, sound, and the capacity to bring something new into the world. It is the level of the speaker, the singer, the artist, the storyteller, and also the inner child who moves, invents, jokes, makes sounds, and does not constantly ask whether everything is appropriate.

Many people carry stress in this level because they have learned to silence their spontaneous expression. They do not sing because they think their voice is not good. They do not dance because they think it looks strange. They do not say what they feel because it may disturb others. They do not make the joke, wear the color, write the text, create the project, ask the question, or speak the truth in the room.

The world often teaches us to become predictable. In the office, behave like this. In the family, speak like this. In the group, do not be too different. As adults, many people confuse seriousness with maturity and repetition with safety. The result is that the creative current becomes blocked. Life becomes efficient, but not alive.

When the fifth chakra is blocked, the energy may appear as tension in the throat, frustration, inner noise, excessive self-censorship, or even destructive speech. If we do not find conscious ways to express energy, it may come out unconsciously through criticism, gossip, resentment, harsh words, or constant inner commentary. The voice needs a channel.

The medicine here is expression, but expression with awareness. Free singing, writing, honest conversation, chanting, making sounds, shouting into a pillow, dancing without trying to be beautiful, creating something imperfect, allowing humor, allowing play, allowing the new. These are not childish practices in a negative sense. They are ways of giving life a door.

The inner child is not only a psychological concept. It is a living part of our energy that knows how to explore, improvise, and create without needing everything to be useful. When this part is completely suppressed, we may become socially acceptable but spiritually dry.

At this level, the question is: what wants to be expressed through me that I keep judging before it has a chance to live?

When the fifth chakra opens, stress can become creativity. The pressure that was trapped inside finds voice, rhythm, form, and play. Something new enters the world, and we remember that expression itself is a form of healing.

Chakra 6: Truth, Vision and Inner Alignment

The sixth chakra is connected with vision, insight, and the truth we see. Not the truth we perform for others, not the truth that sounds spiritual, and not the truth that keeps everyone comfortable. The actual truth that is already visible inside us.

This level can create deep stress because it touches the structure of our life. Sometimes anxiety is not coming from a lack of relaxation. It is coming from the fact that we are living in contradiction with what we see.

Imagine a person whose family expects them to continue a business, but inside they know that this path is not alive for them. They can explain it away for a while. They can tell themselves it is practical, responsible, convenient, or expected. But if the inner vision is clear and they keep denying it, the body and mind will eventually feel the cost.

Or imagine being with friends and realizing that the same party, the same conversations, the same habits, and the same weekend routine no longer feel true. Someone asks, "Did you enjoy it?" and the honest answer would be no. But to avoid discomfort, we say yes. Then we agree to do it again. A small lie becomes a lifestyle.

This happens in relationships, work, family, spirituality, friendship, sexuality, creativity, and personal direction. We see something, but we do not say it. We know something, but we do not admit it. We feel that a part of life no longer represents us, but we continue because the consequences of truth feel too big.

The first medicine of the sixth chakra is not speaking. It is looking. Many people stay constantly busy because they do not want to stop and see. Tasks, plans, noise, obligations, messages, productivity, and entertainment can become a way of avoiding inner vision. Because if we see clearly, we may need to change.

But not seeing the truth does not protect us. It only delays the moment when life asks for honesty.

At this level, the questions become very direct. What do I already know, but I am afraid to admit? What truth am I not saying? What part of my life no longer matches what I see? Where am I choosing comfort over alignment? What would become obvious if I stopped filling all the space with activity?

When truth begins to move, stress can become direction. The energy that was trapped in contradiction starts to align. We may still feel fear, but the fear is now connected to a real path, not to the exhaustion of pretending.

Meditation Is Not Avoidance When It Helps You Digest

Spiritual practice can be misunderstood. Some people think meditation, yoga, prayer, dance, or retreat are ways of escaping life. And sometimes they are. Any practice can become avoidance if we use it to feel better while refusing to face what is true.

But practice can also be the opposite of avoidance. It can be a space where we finally stop running and allow the energy to be digested.

The difference is subtle but important. If we meditate in order to disconnect from what we feel, we may create a temporary calm that does not transform the root. But if we meditate with consciousness, we are not escaping the experience. We are meeting it directly. We observe the sensation, the thought, the fear, the pressure, the grief, the contraction. We give it space. We allow it to move through awareness instead of acting it out or suppressing it.

In this sense, meditation is expression in a deeper form. Not expression through words or movement, but expression through consciousness. Something that was unconscious becomes visible. Something that was compressed receives space. Something that was heavy begins to digest.

The same can happen through yoga, dance, walking, pilgrimage, singing, breathing, or time in nature. These practices are not magical because of their outer form. They are transformative when they allow energy to move and reconnect us with presence.

A useful sign is what happens after the practice. Avoidance often leaves us numb, disconnected, or dependent on repeating the practice in order not to feel. Real digestion leaves us more alive, clearer, more honest, and more capable of meeting life. We may feel lighter, but not absent. Softer, but not weaker. Calmer, but not asleep.

This distinction matters because the goal is not to use spirituality to escape reality. The goal is to become more capable of entering reality with consciousness.

Avoidance makes life smaller. Transmutation makes us more present. Avoidance disconnects us from the source of pain. Transmutation helps us meet the source and change our relationship with it.

How to Begin Your Own Practice of Transmutation

You do not need to solve your whole life at once. Transmutation begins with one honest observation and one conscious movement.

Start by asking where the energy is gathering. Is it in the body, as tension, fatigue, restlessness, or contraction? Is it in desire, as frustration, numbness, or a lack of pleasure? Is it in power, as postponed decisions, weak boundaries, or fear of action? Is it in the heart, as grief, resentment, emotional closure, or longing? Is it in the voice, as self-censorship, creative blockage, or words that never come out? Is it in vision, as the painful knowledge that something in your life no longer matches your truth?

Once you locate the level, ask what expression is missing. The body may need movement. Desire may need to be admitted honestly. Power may need a decision. The heart may need to feel. The voice may need sound, words, or creativity. Vision may need silence, writing, and the courage to see clearly.

This does not need to become dramatic. Often, the first movement is simple. Take a walk and feel your legs. Write the truth in a notebook before speaking it to anyone. Send the message you have been postponing. Make the sound your throat has been holding. Cry without turning the feeling into a story. Dance for ten minutes without trying to look good. Say no once. Say yes once. Sit quietly and ask, "What am I pretending not to know?"

The important thing is to stop treating stress only as an enemy. Stress may be showing you where life is blocked. It may be pointing to the exact place where fear became stronger than expression, where conditioning became stronger than truth, or where comfort became stronger than growth.

When you find that place, you find a doorway. Not a generic path copied from someone else, but your path. The path that belongs to the specific way your energy has been blocked, and the specific way it wants to become free.

This is why stress and anxiety, although painful, can become meaningful. They are not random noise. They can reveal where transformation is needed. They can show where your soul is asking for movement.

The practice is simple, but not always easy: feel the energy, locate the blockage, find the missing expression, and give the energy a conscious direction.

Your Stress Can Become Your Path

The goal is not to live without intensity. A life without intensity is not freedom; it is often only control. The deeper goal is to become capable of meeting intensity without shrinking. To feel fear and still listen. To feel pressure and ask what wants to move. To feel anxiety and ask what part of you is not being expressed. To feel tension and recognize that something inside may be asking for a more truthful channel.

This changes the meaning of stress. It is no longer only an enemy to defeat. It becomes information. It becomes a signal. It becomes a doorway into the places where life has become contracted.

The same energy that once made you collapse can become the energy that helps you act. The same anxiety that once made you avoid can become the beginning of truth. The same pressure that once felt unbearable can become creativity, movement, love, power, and direction.

This is the path of transmutation. Not escaping life. Not suppressing life. Not pretending everything is peaceful. But taking the energy that is already inside you and giving it a conscious direction.

If this way of looking at stress speaks to you, you can continue the journey with us inside the Inner Spark WhatsApp community. It is a space to stay connected with the teachings, practices, gatherings, and the living movement of the community.

And if you want to go deeper, you can also join the Inner Spark Tribe academy on Skool, where we explore these teachings through weekly sessions, spiritual practice, community, and real-life transformation.

How I Fell in Love With My Life (By Stopping the Search for Validation) https://innersparklife.com/how-to-find-self-love-shamanic-guide/ Thu, 04 Dec 2025 12:00:57 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/?p=22110 The “Good Boy” Trap: Why Seeking Validation Leaves You Empty

When I was in my early twenties, I didn’t love myself. Honestly, I didn’t even know what self-love was. I was filled with deep, existential doubt.

Because I felt empty inside, I spent all my energy begging for love from the world around me. I became a professional at seeking validation.

I looked for it in women. I wanted beautiful girlfriends who would adore me, thinking that if they loved me, I would finally feel worthy. I looked for it in my family. I did everything they wanted me to do. I said “yes” to everything. I became the perfect “good boy.”

I also looked for it in my friends. I wanted to belong, so I acted exactly like them. I betrayed my own personality and desires just to be accepted.

I was chasing a feeling that I called love, but it wasn’t love. It was just a cheap substitute. It was an anesthesia to numb the pain of my own emptiness.

I was constantly anxious, trying to “rob” energy from the outside world because I couldn’t generate it within myself. I forced my behavior, my words, and my actions just to keep everyone else happy. Eventually, this pressure caused me to explode existentially. That breakdown was the beginning of my spiritual path.

Image 2

The Solitude Paradox: Finding Connection When You Are Alone

Seven years later, my life looked completely different. I had gone through a massive spiritual awakening and moved to a new city where I didn’t know a single soul.

On the surface, it looked like I had lost everything I used to chase. I had no friends in town. I had no girlfriends. I lived alone in an apartment and spent most of my time working or being by myself.

But something incredible started happening.

Every night, I would lie down in a huge bed in a lonely room, in a neighborhood where nobody knew my name. And yet, I felt completely full of love.

One night, I opened my eyes, stared at the ceiling, and asked myself: “How is this even possible?”

Back when I had friends, girlfriends, a good job, and social success, I felt empty. Now, when I was more alone than ever, I felt more love than ever.

That was the moment I began to understand. I realized that self-love isn’t something you get from others—it’s a state you enter. And to enter it, I had intuitively followed a process that I want to share with you now.

Step One: Radical Acceptance (Meeting Your Shadow)

The first and most important step to finding self-love is acceptance.

But be careful—people often confuse acceptance with resignation. Resignation is when you look at something you don’t like and say, “Well, I guess it’s going to be like this forever.” That is not acceptance. That is giving up.

True acceptance is the ability to include everything in your perception. It means looking at what is happening in your body, your emotions, and the world around you, and letting it be there without trying to push it away.

Stop Hiding Your “Underworld”

In shamanism, we talk about the Underworld or the Shadow. This isn’t some mystical place in another dimension; it is right here, inside you.

Your Shadow is where you store all your pain, guilt, unresolved wounds, and the parts of yourself you are ashamed of. It lives in your body—in your muscle tension, in your joint pain, and in those intense, uncomfortable emotions you try to avoid.

For years, I tried to hide my Shadow. For example, I used to be a bit chubby, and I hated my body. Instead of accepting it, I covered it up with clothes and looked the other way. I put on my “good boy” mask to hide my insecurities from others and from myself.

But here is the secret: You cannot feel love if you are hiding.

To find love, you must start observing the parts of yourself you don’t like. You don’t have to like them, but you have to feel them. Ask yourself: “Why does this make me feel bad? Do I feel ashamed? Sad? Weak?”

Relax into those feelings. Include them in your experience. This is the prerequisite for love to enter.

Image 4

Step Two: Trusting That Life Makes No Mistakes

Once you develop the habit of looking at your dark places, you need something else to keep you going: Trust.

You need to trust that your pain, your shadow, and your struggles are not mistakes. They are not glitches in the system. They are a fundamental part of your existence.

The Limiting Belief That Kills Love

Most of us walk around with a subconscious belief that life is dangerous, chaotic, or accidental. We think that if we stop controlling everything, things will fall apart. We believe that pain is proof that something has gone wrong.

This belief is the enemy of inner peace.

The truth is that life does not fail. Nothing that happens to you is accidental. Everything in this universe follows the law of cause and effect.

Your “Underworld”—that heavy baggage of karma and pain you carry—is actually there for a reason. Without it, your life would have no direction. It is intimately connected to your life purpose.

There is a hidden order behind the chaos. The ultimate goal of every experience, even the painful ones, is your healing, your growth, and your eventual return to love. When you start to see life this way, you stop fighting against reality and start trusting the process.

Step Three: The Art of Losing Control

This was the final piece of the puzzle for me. Once I accepted my shadow and trusted life, I started to develop a new ability: entering a state of non-control.

I used to try to control everything in my life to get what I wanted. But it never worked. I realized that the most beautiful things in life—like authentic love—only happen when you stop trying to manage the outcome.

Love is not a math problem. You cannot solve it like an equation. You cannot force it.

Transcending the Mind

Love only occurs when we transcend the mind and enter a space of non-control. This is what we do in our shamanic rituals, meditation, and breathwork practices. The goal is always the same: to stop directing the experience and just let it flow.

In this state, you stop fighting. You start including everything.

  • A difficult emotion comes up? You include it.
  • A painful memory surfaces? You include it.
  • A negative thought arrives? You include it.

Instead of pushing these things away, you welcome them with care and trust. This capacity to include everything is what love actually is.

Love is not just a sweet, romantic feeling. Love is your capacity to connect with everything—the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is the energy that binds you to reality when you stop resisting it.

That is why you never fall in love with the person you expect to fall in love with. It happens spontaneously, on a random day, when you least expect it. Why? Because love needs spontaneity. It needs the absence of control to breathe.

Image 6

Conclusion: True Love is Connection, Not Need

When you learn to accept, trust, and let go of control, you arrive at a beautiful, unique place in your life. You realize that you don’t need anyone to feel love.

The people in your life will be there because you want them there, not because you desperately need them to fill a void. Your relationships will come from a place of freedom, not dependency.

You will feel lighter, more energetic, and more joyful than ever before. Instead of adapting your life to get validation from others—like I did when I was younger—you will finally start creating your own life.

Goodbye Fights, Anger, Self-Sabotage & Addictions: How to Truly Heal the Destructive Energy in Your Life https://innersparklife.com/stop-self-sabotage-heal-destructive-energy/ Tue, 18 Nov 2025 17:28:30 +0000 https://innersparklife.com/?p=22019 You Are Not Broken: Understanding Your Inner Conflict

We have all been there. We have these situations where we yell at the people we love, we get into fights with important people in our lives, or we just fight over silly things. Sometimes, we explode emotionally without any real justification.

Other times, we stop ourselves. We sabotage what we are doing with negative, destructive thoughts, undervaluing the beautiful things in our lives or our projects. Or perhaps we pour our energy into addictions—food, tobacco, drinks—wondering why our energy manifests destructively and feeling like we can’t do anything to stop it.

But before we go any further, I want you to know one thing: You are not broken.

Thinking “I am broken,” “I am doomed,” or “everything I do is wrong” is just another negative, destructive pattern.

The truth is much simpler. The only thing happening is that you have an excess. You have an excess of creative energy that you are not using. Destructive patterns simply feed on the creative energy that we are holding back due to fear and blocks.

Image 2

Your Gifts Are Not for You

Now, what does this river have to do with you?

Every single one of you has a gift. You have gifts and talents that you received from God, from life itself. We all have them.

But what exactly are these gifts?

  • For some, it is intelligence.
  • For others, it is fire—a strength and confidence to do things in this world, an incredible vitality.
  • Some have the gift of consciousness, the ability to see the truth of what is happening.
  • Others are masters of beauty.
  • Some have an innocent heart that never judges, that forgives with deep compassion.
  • Some have a strong, resistant body, a physical power to achieve great things.
  • And some have the gift of humor, bringing joy to the spirit.

Whatever your gift is, imagine it is that river of energy flowing toward you. It is a faucet you cannot turn off. Just like the water from the mountain snows never stops coming, this energy never stops coming to you.

But here is the key you must understand: These gifts are not for you. They are for you to give.

In fact, you often cannot even recognize you have a gift until you give it away. That is why a person who is naturally extremely strong, confident, and full of fire might actually feel weak. Why? Because they aren’t expressing their great gift.

We usually have our biggest blocks right where we have our biggest gifts.

Think about it. Imagine you have that internal fire—the energy of a warrior. But you live in a world conditioned for a quiet, comfortable life where the only goal is simple survival. If your life is just going to the office, going to the supermarket, and maintaining a routine, you cannot express that quality. That fire screams to be put into a great battle, a great project.

Or imagine your gift is creativity. It is screaming at you to create something new, something incredible. But if you are in an environment that is rigid, hermetic, or stuck in old habits, that creativity has no space to get out.

And so, the river gets cut off. The energy accumulates, and accumulates, and accumulates… until it becomes too much.

Why “Managing Emotions” Doesn’t Work

So, how do we solve this? Or rather, why does everyone fail when they try to solve it?

The reason is simple: Everyone tries to manage the consequence.

You tell yourself: “I have to manage this conflict. I have to manage my emotions. I have to manage my intensity, my fear, my anger.”

But the truth is, it is unmanageable. You cannot manage it.

Once your energy has been invested in fear, conflict, frustration, or anger, and it grows enough… you can no longer control it. It dominates you. It covers you. You act based on it. It is almost as if you are possessed by that destructive energy.

And that is when the destructive attitudes come: the fights, the judgments, the negative internal dialogue, the self-sabotage.

Trying to stop the flood after the dam has broken is impossible. You are working at the wrong level.

Image 4

The 3 Levels of Healing

So, how do we actually work with this?

We can work on three levels. It is super important that you understand these and apply them in your life.

This process of redirecting your energy to a place where it can be expressed takes time. Sometimes, you need to restructure your life. You need to change habits. You need to try new things, invent new projects, and—crucially—you have to “let go” of some things.

It is a profound transformation process, and most people skip it because it’s hard. But here is the roadmap:

Level 1 & 2: The Deep Work

These two go hand in hand, and they are the foundation.

  • Identify your gift. You need to find that specific quality (fire, beauty, intellect, etc.) that flows through you.
  • Create a space to express it. You must create a project, an environment, or a place in your life where that energy can be redirected.

If you have a creative gift but believe “I have to be a farmer like my father” or “I don’t want to hurt my family by doing something different,” that is your block. You have to dissolve those beliefs to create that space.

Level 3: The Bridge (Energy Alchemy)

Now, what do you do while you are building that new life? What do you do while you are transforming?

You still have that “stagnant water”—the anger, the frustration, the negative self-talk.

This is where Energy Alchemy comes in. You need practical support to handle the destructive energy right now. You do this through spiritual practices:

  • Meditation
  • Breathwork
  • Hikes and walks in nature
  • Rituals (like using the drum)
  • Ocean baths

These aren’t just for relaxation. Their purpose is to transform heavy, destructive energy (lead) into light, constructive energy (gold). They return you to a state of inspiration and clarity so you can see what is blocking you and keep moving forward.

The Invitation to Transform

This is the great transformation—the secret that almost nobody tells you. Everyone works on the level of the “situation,” trying to fix the fight or the bad habit. Very few people work at the higher level of how you are redirecting your energy.

You can read about this, but to truly heal, you often need to step out of your current environment and experience it.

If you want to take this journey, we are traveling to La Gomera for our next retreat.

In this retreat, we are going to do exactly what we have discussed here, but we are going to do it with our bodies and souls, not just our minds.

Over the course of 6 days and 5 nights on this incredible volcanic island, we are going to:

  • Reconnect with nature: We will hike in the mountains, meditate in ancient forests, and swim in the ocean.
  • Experience the alchemy: We will connect with dolphins and use powerful practices to transform that negative, heavy energy into something light and vital.
  • Find your clarity: You will leave understanding exactly what your gift is and, just as importantly, what specific fear or block has been stopping you from expressing it.

This trip is a gift you give to yourself. It is an escape from the tension, the conflict, and the fear. No one can just “tell” you this truth; you have to feel the process of energy alchemy within yourself. You will be amazed at the shift.

You will finally understand the missing element needed to escape these destructive cycles forever.

Join us in La Gomera (February 2026).

Don’t miss this opportunity to change your life’s flow from a flood into a river.

How to Heal Your Relationship with Your Parents Through the Divine Archetypes https://innersparklife.com/healing-relationship-with-parents-divine-archetypes/ Tue, 20 May 2025 08:00:00 +0000 http://innersparklife.com/?p=19159

Why Is It So Hard to Have a Good Relationship with Our Parents?

Let’s be honest—healing our relationship with our parents is one of those deeply personal challenges that never really goes away. Especially for those of us walking a spiritual path, this question keeps resurfacing: How can I stay true to my soul while dealing with parents who don’t understand or support this journey?

Often, our spiritual awakening leads us down a very different road—different values, different beliefs, different ways of expressing love and truth. And when these differences clash with the people who raised us, pain surfaces. So what’s the most common reaction? We distance ourselves. We create space. We disconnect emotionally and sometimes even physically. Why? Because it just hurts too much to stay close.

There’s frustration. Old memories that sting. Unspoken words. Resentments that quietly pile up over the years. So we do what seems safest: we cut the cord in the material world.

But then something strange happens. We begin to feel that something essential is missing. Even if we’re thriving in other areas, the absence of peace in our relationship with our parents leaves an invisible wound. And that’s where the confusion starts: Should I try to reconnect? Is it even possible?

Healing Is Not About the Physical Relationship—It’s About the Spiritual Connection

Here’s something that changed everything for me: Our pain with our parents doesn’t just come from what they did or didn’t do—it comes from the spiritual disconnection underneath it all. In shamanic wisdom, we speak of the Divine Father Archetype and the Divine Mother Archetype—pure, powerful forces that represent the highest qualities of the masculine and feminine.

These archetypes exist beyond our earthly parents. In fact, our physical parents are meant to be symbols, or as we say in shamanism, amulets, that help us connect with these sacred energies. The father and mother you were born to are supposed to be bridges—portals to these higher spiritual guides.

The Divine Father brings qualities like inner strength, confidence, clarity, protection, and grounded power. The Divine Mother offers nurturing, forgiveness, compassion, beauty, and unconditional love. These are the energies we all need to evolve—spiritually and emotionally.

But here’s the challenge: most earthly parents are not aligned with these divine energies. They might be wounded themselves. They might have never received the love they needed. So they struggle to reflect these divine archetypes. And when that happens, a painful gap forms—a break not just with our parents, but with the Divine Mother and Father themselves.

And that’s the real source of our suffering. Not just a broken relationship with mom or dad—but a broken link to the sacred masculine and feminine that we deeply need in our lives.

How to Reconnect with the Divine Mother and Divine Father Archetypes

So what do we do when the bond with our parents feels broken? When healing the physical relationship is simply not possible—because they’ve passed away, or the distance is just too great, or communication is toxic or nonexistent?

The answer lies in something deeper. You don’t need your physical parents to reconnect with the divine essence they were meant to reflect. You can restore your relationship with the Divine Father and Divine Mother archetypes directly.

This isn’t about fantasy or imagination. It’s about reconnecting with the qualities that these archetypes represent and inviting them consciously into your life. For example:

  • The Divine Father brings: strength, structure, trust, direction, presence, grounding energy, and healthy authority.
  • The Divine Mother offers: tenderness, compassion, forgiveness, nurturing, creativity, intuition, and unconditional love.

Every single one of us needs these energies to live a balanced life. And when we lack them—when we grew up without a supportive father figure or a nurturing mother—we end up searching for them in places that often confuse us more than help us.

Some people try to find their divine parents in their romantic partners, which creates tension and codependence. Others chase external validation, achievements, or constant approval, trying to fill a void that only these inner archetypes can truly satisfy.

So how do we actually reconnect? Let’s look at some real-world examples from our shamanic school and retreats, where these practices are part of the path.

Shamanic Practices to Awaken the Father Archetype Within You

In our tradition, we work with the archetypes through rituals, nature immersion, and deep personal challenges that help awaken these energies from within. For example, once or twice a year, we organize a special men’s retreat—a sacred space for men to reconnect with the Divine Father.

At these retreats—like the one we’re hosting this June in Germany—we challenge ourselves physically and emotionally. We swim in ice-cold rivers. We walk on fire. We push beyond the mental limitations that keep us small. And in doing so, something magical happens: we reconnect with our inner strength, our confidence, our masculine essence.

We’re not just doing extreme activities—we’re reclaiming the spiritual power of healthy fatherhood. A power that’s firm but loving. Strong but wise. Grounded but visionary.

This power allows us to show up more fully in our lives. To manifest the life we want. To protect what matters. To speak truth with authority. And perhaps most importantly, to forgive our physical father and heal that ancient wound that still echoes in our hearts.

Connecting with the Divine Mother Through Nature and Compassion

Just as we work with the Divine Father through strength and challenge, we reconnect with the Divine Mother through softness, surrender, and nature. In our shamanic retreats focused on feminine healing, we often go deep into natural landscapes—forests, lakes, mountains—and open ourselves to the quiet wisdom of the Earth.

Why nature? Because nature is one of the purest reflections of the Divine Mother. She nourishes us without asking for anything in return. She holds space for us to cry, to breathe, to slow down. The sun on your skin, the breeze through the trees, the stillness of a lake—these are all reminders that you are loved, accepted, and held.

We use simple yet powerful practices to awaken this connection: walking barefoot, meditating under trees, speaking our truth to the water, or simply lying on the ground and listening. In those moments, we remember who we are. We feel what it’s like to be seen and loved without judgment.

Through this reconnection, we start to experience the essence of the Divine Feminine: forgiveness, beauty, nourishment, emotional healing. And slowly, the pain we carry from our physical mother begins to dissolve. We understand that she, too, was hurting. That maybe she was never taught how to nurture, because she was never nurtured herself.

And from this place of understanding, we can finally forgive her—not for her sake, but for ours. We reclaim our ability to receive love and softness. We become our own source of nourishment and emotional safety.

When You Heal the Archetypes, You Heal the Wound with Your Physical Parents

Here’s the beautiful part: when you reconnect with the Divine Father and Mother, your relationship with your earthly parents naturally begins to shift—even if they’re not physically present anymore.

This doesn’t mean you’ll suddenly become best friends with your mom or dad. In some cases, direct communication may never happen. But internally, something changes. You no longer feel defined by the pain, the absence, or the rejection. You feel whole. You feel free.

And that’s what we’re really longing for, isn’t it? Not necessarily perfect relationships, but inner peace. A sense that we are loved, supported, guided. A sense that we belong.

Once the archetypes are restored within you, your family history no longer defines your identity. You become the bridge. The cycle-breaker. The healer of your lineage. And this is one of the most powerful steps you can take on your spiritual path.

Stop Looking for the Divine Mother or Father in Your Romantic Partner

This is a subtle but important trap many of us fall into—trying to fulfill the missing Divine Mother or Father energy through our romantic relationships. When we haven’t healed our wounds with our parents, or reconnected with the archetypes, we unconsciously expect our partner to fill that role.

We may crave unconditional support, guidance, approval, or care that’s more parental than romantic. And while these desires are natural, our partner is not meant to play the role of our divine parent. That confusion often leads to unmet expectations, emotional dependency, or patterns of neediness that damage the relationship.

In shamanism, we talk about another archetype that lives in our heart: Oname, the Divine Lover. This is the energy you’re meant to connect with in your romantic relationships—not the Divine Father or Mother. Oname brings a completely different energy: passion, partnership, shared purpose, creative intimacy, and co-evolution.

When we confuse these archetypes, we block both romantic and spiritual growth. But when we restore the Divine Father and Mother within us, and keep Oname sacred in our partnerships, we liberate ourselves from confusion and open the door to true love.

Final Thoughts: You Are the Bridge Back to the Divine

If there’s one thing I hope you take from this article, it’s this: healing your relationship with your parents starts by reconnecting with the Divine Archetypes within you. Whether or not you’re able to speak to your mom or dad, the healing is still available. The peace is still possible. The love you’ve been missing is still yours to receive.

You are the bridge. The one who breaks the cycle. The one who remembers what’s sacred and brings it back into the lineage—not just for you, but for those who came before and those who will come after.

Reconnect with the Divine Father. Reconnect with the Divine Mother. Let their energy hold you, guide you, and empower you. Because when you do, you’ll walk your path with more strength, more clarity, and more love than ever before.

And if you feel called to explore this deeper, join us at one of our upcoming retreats. There’s a space waiting for you—one where you can be seen, supported, and spiritually reborn.

With love and strength,

The Hidden Powers of the Shaman Woman: How Feminine Energy Can Heal and Transform the World https://innersparklife.com/feminine-shaman-powers-transformation/ Thu, 27 Mar 2025 10:00:00 +0000 http://innersparklife.com/?p=18961

The Hidden Powers of the Shaman Woman

When we think of a shaman, most of us picture a man — strong, bold, maybe dressed in ceremonial feathers, confidently guiding others through mystical realms. But today, I want to talk about something far more mysterious. Something that has been hidden, silenced, and — at times — feared. I’m talking about the Shaman Woman and her wild, untamed feminine spiritual powers.

This isn’t just about rituals or ceremonies. It’s about the ancient feminine forces that live in every woman — forces that can heal, awaken, and transform the world around us.

But first, a gentle warning: these powers are raw. They don’t follow the rules. They are not here to obey or be accepted. They are here to free us. That’s why, for centuries, they’ve been misunderstood — even rejected.

But here’s the truth: there is nothing dangerous or sinful about these energies. Quite the opposite. They are the natural power of the feminine — and they can change your life in ways you can’t yet imagine.

So if something stirs inside you as you read this… trust it. Your soul recognizes these truths. Let’s explore the five sacred powers of the Shaman Woman — and how you can awaken them in your own life.

Image 2

Power #1: Beauty as a Sacred Force of Healing and Awakening

In our masculine-driven world, beauty is often seen as superficial. A decoration. A bonus — but never the main event. We’re taught that it’s not real power, just something to admire from a distance.

But that’s a lie.

Beauty is one of the most profound spiritual forces we can experience. Think about it: the Divine speaks to us through beauty. The soft glow of a sunset, the delicate petals of a flower, the innocent laughter of a child — all of it opens our hearts. All of it makes us feel something deep and sacred.

When we journey into shamanic realms — through drumming, ceremony, or plant medicine — we often encounter breathtaking visions. Colors, lights, and forms that feel more real than anything we’ve ever seen. This beauty dissolves the ego. It softens the mind. It brings peace.

The Shaman Woman understands this. She knows that beauty is not about fitting a mold or chasing trends. It’s about embodying a frequency. When she walks, speaks, and expresses herself, she does it with intentional beauty. She becomes a living reminder of the divine — and people feel it.

This is not about age or body shape. It’s an energetic practice. When you embody your inner beauty — when you connect to your own radiance — you activate one of the most powerful shamanic gifts.

Try this: Move slowly. Speak with love. Wear colors that make your soul sing. Create beauty around you — in your home, your rituals, your presence. Watch what happens. People will open to you. Hearts will soften. The world around you will begin to shift.

Because beauty is not something you wear. It’s something you become.

Power #2: Compassion — The Mother Spirit That Transforms Conflict

Imagine someone attacking you — with words, with judgment, maybe even with cruelty. Most people would fight back. Defend themselves. Shut down. But the Shaman Woman does something radically different.

She sees through the attack. She doesn’t get lost in the surface-level drama. She feels the pain and fear that’s hiding underneath. And instead of responding with anger, she meets it with compassion.

This isn’t weakness — this is mastery. While others stay trapped in the ego, she speaks to the wounded child within the person before her. With a soft smile, a calm voice, and an open heart, she brings peace to the battlefield.

Her feminine healing energy disarms the fight. And in doing so, she becomes a living portal of transformation.

Compassion is not about fixing others. It’s about seeing them. Feeling them. Meeting them where they are — without judgment. This is the power of the divine feminine in action.

The Shaman Woman doesn’t need to prove herself. She doesn’t need to be stronger than anyone. Her strength is her presence. Her softness. Her warmth.

And when you cultivate this power within yourself, something extraordinary happens: people feel safe around you. And in that safety, they begin to heal.

Power #3: Intuition — The Shaman Woman’s Inner Oracle

In a world obsessed with logic and data, intuition often gets dismissed. “Where’s the proof?” they ask. “Show me the facts.” But the Shaman Woman doesn’t wait for external validation. She listens to a much older voice — the one that whispers from within.

Her inner knowing is ancient. Lunar. Mystical. She is deeply connected to the rhythms of nature, the cycles of the moon, and the hidden wisdom of the universe. She doesn’t analyze. She simply knows.

This intuitive power is what guided the oracles of the ancient world — the women who kings, warriors, and leaders sought out before making life-altering decisions. And that same power lives inside you today.

The problem is: most of us have been taught to silence it. We’ve been trained to doubt ourselves, to second-guess our inner voice. But intuition isn’t gone — it’s just waiting to be reawakened.

The Shaman Woman doesn’t need a map. She walks through life with an internal compass. Even when the path is unclear, she feels her way forward. And more often than not, she arrives exactly where she needs to be — without ever knowing how she got there.

You have this gift too. Start small. Close your eyes. Breathe. Listen to the subtle messages your body and heart are sending you. Over time, you’ll begin to trust your inner voice again. And that trust will become your superpower.

In a world that relies on proof, intuition is rebellious. And yet, it’s the very thing that makes a Shaman Woman so magnetic, mysterious, and wise.

Power #4: Desire — The Magnetic Fire That Awakens Souls

Let’s be honest: the word desire makes people uncomfortable. We’ve been taught to fear it, suppress it, or hide it away. Especially as women, we’ve been told that our desire is dangerous — too wild, too much, too disruptive.

But here’s the truth: desire is divine.

The Shaman Woman understands this deeply. She knows that desire isn’t just about sexuality — it’s about life force. It’s the fire in your belly, the thrill of wanting something with your whole being. It’s the spark that awakens you when everything else feels numb.

In a world where people are sleepwalking through life — stuck in jobs that drain them, relationships that don’t inspire them — desire is revolutionary. When it’s activated, it shakes us awake. It opens the door to creativity, action, and transformation.

The feminine has always carried this power. And for centuries, society has tried to control it. Because a woman connected to her desire is unstoppable. She cannot be manipulated. She creates her reality. She leads.

The Shaman Woman doesn’t chase or demand. She invites. A look, a gesture, a word — these can ignite something profound. And in that ignition, she awakens the power in others. This is not manipulation — it’s alchemical leadership.

You can begin awakening this power today. Ask yourself: What do I really want? What lights me up? What am I craving that I’ve been too afraid to name?

Don’t judge your answers. Just feel them. Let them rise. Desire is your soul’s compass. Follow it, and you’ll begin to remember who you really are.

Power #5: Emotional Expression — The Shaman Woman’s Superpower

If there’s one thing the world doesn’t know how to handle, it’s emotion.

We’re taught to hide our feelings. To stay composed. To keep it together, no matter what. But emotions don’t work like that. They move. They swirl. They roar. And when suppressed, they become pain, illness, or numbness.

The Shaman Woman does the opposite. She feels everything. Joy. Rage. Grief. Ecstasy. She doesn’t fear her emotions — she welcomes them. She lets them move through her like waves. And by doing so, she becomes emotionally sovereign.

This emotional freedom makes her powerful. Unshakable. Because when you’re not afraid of your own emotions, you’re not afraid of anything. You don’t run from grief. You don’t shut down in conflict. You stay open. You breathe. You feel.

This is how the Shaman Woman becomes a healer. Her open heart becomes a safe space for others to unravel and be seen. She can calm a storm of anger, soothe a surge of grief, or awaken joy — simply by being fully present with what’s real.

And here’s the key: she knows that emotions don’t define her. They are energy in motion. She rides them, learns from them, and lets them go. In that letting go, she finds true freedom.

Try this: Next time you feel a strong emotion, don’t push it down. Don’t escape it. Just sit. Breathe. Feel it fully — without judgment. Let it move through you. You’ll be surprised how quickly it transforms.

Emotional expression isn’t weakness. It’s sacred. And when you master it, you become a force of healing for everyone around you.

The Sacred Return of the Shaman Woman

These five wild, radiant gifts — beauty, compassion, intuition, desire, and emotional expression — are not luxuries. They are spiritual technologies. Ancient tools of healing, creation, and transformation that have lived in women since the beginning of time.

They’ve been rejected because they cannot be controlled. They’re unpredictable. Emotional. Mysterious. And yes — powerful beyond belief.

But here’s the deeper truth: every woman carries these sacred feminine powers within her. They are not given to us by society — they’re wired into our souls. And now, more than ever, the world needs these gifts to return.

The Shaman Woman is not just a figure of the past — she’s rising now. In every woman who chooses softness over violence, wisdom over fear, intuition over logic, and freedom over conformity. She’s rising in you. Can you feel it?

This isn’t just about personal healing. It’s about planetary healing. Because when women step into their wild, untamed power, the entire world begins to shift. The Earth heals. Families heal. Communities remember who they are.

And men, too, benefit deeply from this return. When women embody their power, men are finally free to embody theirs — not the distorted version of power rooted in dominance, but the authentic masculine that protects, serves, and loves with fierce integrity. 🌿

If this message speaks to you… If something inside you feels seen, remembered, awakened — don’t ignore it. These aren’t just pretty ideas. This is a call from your soul.

Dancing towards Healing: Chakra Dance https://innersparklife.com/dancing-towards-healing-chakra-dance/ Wed, 03 Apr 2024 09:07:57 +0000 http://innersparklife.com/?p=15054 The Day I learned to dance

In the very first retreat I attended, my teacher, to my surprise, urged us to dance. There I was, thinking, “Seriously? I came here to heal my wounds, to uncover the profound, existential secrets of life… and this guy’s telling me to dance? Since when did shaking and jumping around become a spiritual practice?” 😑🤨

The dimly lit room was filled with the silhouettes of others moving freely, and I, feeling out of place, had no choice but to join in. What started as discomfort quickly spiraled into a whirlwind of complaints and anger. On the verge of walking out, I paused and asked myself, “Why does this make me feel so UNCOMFORTABLE?”

That’s when it hit me – it wasn’t just me who was resisting; it was all my inner demons coming to the fore. The shame, the insecurities, the dread of being judged, the self-consciousness about my body, my struggle with femininity, sensuality, the stiffness and heaviness I felt, the laziness… Dancing had awakened them all.

Choosing to observe rather than react, my frustration transformed into something powerful. I felt like an unstoppable warrior, embodying pure fire.

As the vibrations of the music and the collective energy around me shifted and lifted, they struck right at the heart of my being, breaking down barriers I didn’t even know I had. Suddenly, I was overtaken by an indescribable wave of tenderness and compassion.

There I was, amidst the dance, tears streaming down my face, overwhelmed by a state of ecstasy. In that moment, nothing else mattered. I had forgotten my own name. 🤩

And that was the day I truly learned the transformative power of dance.

This is the essence of what I want to share with you today – a journey of healing, freedom, and profound transformation through the simple, yet profound act of dancing. Welcome to the exploration of healing through free expression and the ancestral therapy of Chakra Dance.

The Dance as an Ancestral Practice

In the modern world, dance is often seen merely as a hobby or a profession, a form of entertainment or a means of artistic expression. However, the original purpose of dance, its true essence, stretches far beyond the confines of stages and studios. Its roots are deeply tribal, not meant primarily to entertain or convey, but to express and heal.

The ancient tribes knew this well. They organized periodic rituals of free dance, where everything that couldn’t be expressed in day-to-day life was given a voice and a space to be healed. These rituals weren’t just gatherings; they were powerful, communal acts of liberation and restoration.

The unspoken truth is, what we do not express, we carry within us, and over time, it degrades. In our everyday lives, there’s a myriad of emotions, thoughts, and desires we hold back due to fear of judgment, rejection, or simply because we feel they’re not significant enough to be shared. This unexpressed energy doesn’t just vanish; it accumulates within us, manifesting as physical tension, emotional turmoil, and mental unrest.

During moments of free expression, however, the internal censor is silenced. Suddenly, everything is permissible; everything is welcomed. What unfolds is a profound alignment between our external movements and our inner experiences. All that was stuck, all the pent-up energy and suppressed emotions, begin to find their way out in forms of movements, sounds, spins, gestures, leaps…

In these moments of unrestrained expression, we’re not just dancing; we’re engaging in an ancient, healing practice that recognizes the dance floor as sacred ground for transformation. This is the space where the body communicates what words cannot, where healing is not just conceptual but visceral.

As I embraced this ancestral wisdom, allowing my body to speak its truth, I discovered the liberating power of dance. It’s a journey back to our roots, to a time when dance was a vital part of our existence, a natural extension of our being. Through dance, we can reconnect with this fundamental aspect of our humanity, using it not just as a form of entertainment, but as a powerful tool for personal transformation and healing.

Introduction to Chakra Dance

Chakra dance is, in many ways, the refinement of this ancient practice of expression and healing. It’s a profound, intense, and transformative practice that we partake in only a few times a year. This isn’t just any dance; it’s a journey, a ritual that taps into the depths of our being, facilitating a powerful connection with the various aspects of ourselves.

In Chakra dance, the music isn’t just background noise; it’s a guide. Each melody, each frequency is carefully chosen to resonate with one of the seven chakras, making the dance and connection with the different aspects of the self more profound and spontaneous. The music sets the path for your body and consciousness to align with the qualities of each chakra, guiding you deeper into your own essence.

This practice isn’t merely about moving to the beat of a drum but about embarking on an adventure where the music leads you through a transformative experience. In Chakra dance, you are guided through all the existential layers of being, from your physical body to the highest and most transcendental parts of yourself. It aids in healing and reconnecting at every level.

Chakra dance is the culmination of an ancestral form of healing and empowerment. It harnesses the wisdom of our forebears, who understood the power of movement and music as tools for spiritual exploration and self-discovery. In this practice, the journey through each chakra isn’t just metaphorical; it’s experienced viscerally, as each step, each turn, each leap brings you closer to your core, to your truth.

As we delve into this unique practice, I’ll share more about what you can experience in each of the seven parts of this unique journey. Through Chakra dance, we not only reconnect with an ancient pathway to healing but also with ourselves, in the most profound and joyful way imaginable.

Muladhara: The Dance of the Earth

Feel the raw, pulsating energy of the earth beneath your feet as you dance to the rhythm of the Muladhara chakra. With each step, a connection to the primal essence of life ignites, grounding you deeply in the here and now.

Your movements are powerful, deliberate, echoing the steadfastness of mountains. The beat resonates, a reminder of your strength, your resilience.

Here, in the dance of the Root Chakra, you are unshakeable, a warrior grounded in the reality of your physical existence, embracing the joy of being alive, of being part of this vast, living earth.

Svadhisthana: The Waters of Desire

The fluid melodies of the Svadhisthana, where every movement is a wave of passion and pleasure rolling through your body. This dance is an ode to the sensual, to the joy of feeling deeply, of connecting with the essence of desire.

Your body moves like water, flowing, undulating, drawn to the pulse of life itself. In this moment, you are the embodiment of passion, a beacon of joy and vitality.

The world around you sparkles with new intensity, every color, every sensation, a testament to the dance of desire that moves within you.

Manipura: The Flame of Power

Your inner fire as the dance of the Manipura chakra unfolds. Each movement is an expression of power, of unyielding strength and determination.

The rhythm is invigorating, propelling you forward, fueling the warrior within. This is your dance of empowerment, a ritual that stokes the flames of your will, your courage.

With every step, you reclaim your right to act, to be the architect of your destiny. Here, in the blaze of Manipura, you are unstoppable, a force of nature ready to conquer any challenge.

Anahata: The Heart’s Embrace

Each step is a caress, each movement a hug. This is the dance of love, of connection, where every beat is a heartbeat shared. Your arms open wide, embracing the world, your smile a bridge to countless hearts.

Tears and laughter blend, a river of shared humanity. In this dance, you are love incarnate, a healer of wounds, a bearer of joy. The music is a lullaby, a song of unity and peace, inviting all to open their hearts and dance together in the endless embrace of love.

Vishuddha: The Symphony of Self

With the Vishuddha, your dance becomes a song, a unique expression of your innermost self. The melody is light, playful, sparking creativity at every turn.

Your movements are a brushstroke on the canvas of existence, each step a word in the story you’re writing with your life.

This is your playground, a space where imagination runs wild, where every color is brighter, every note a call to adventure. In this dance, you are an artist, a creator, weaving the tapestry of your life with the vibrant threads of your dreams and desires.

Ajna: The Vision Within

Ajna, where the dance slows, becomes introspective. Each movement is deliberate, a reflection, a meditation.

The melody is a gentle stream, guiding you inward to the vastness of your inner sight. This is your dance of insight, of clarity. In the quietude of Ajna, you see beyond the surface, understanding the intricate dance of existence.

Here, in the dance of the third eye, you are a seeker of truth, a voyager in the realm of the mind, finding peace in the clarity of your inner vision.

Sahasrara: The Cosmic Connection

As the journey culminates, your dance transcends into stillness, into a profound meditation that connects you to the universe. The rhythm of a drum beats like a heart, the sound of oneness, of eternal peace.

Here, in the realm of the Sahasrara, you are a soul adrift in the ocean of cosmic consciousness, experiencing revelations that illuminate the essence of your being. In this state of transcendence, you understand your place in the tapestry of life, a realization of interconnectedness that fills you with awe and gratitude.

This is not just a dance; it is a spiritual awakening, a return to the source from which we all came.

Conclusion

Chakra dance is the quintessence of ancestral dance therapy and free expression. Having melodies and rhythms tailored for each chakra elevates the experience far beyond traditional tribal dances. It transcends mere movement to become a conduit for profound personal transformation and connection.

We’re often fed the lie that happiness stems from acquisition… but that’s just it, a lie. Happiness is intrinsically linked to expression. Here, we come to express something unique! Accumulation deadens the soul. So, I urge you, step out there and show your true self!

Engaging in Chakra dance is a rare opportunity that we’re privileged to enjoy only a few times each year. It invites you to a vertical awareness of your entire being, pinpointing blockages, healing them, and better understanding your gifts and talents. It’s an all-encompassing journey through your inner landscape, a chance to explore every hill and valley within your soul.

If you ever get the chance to embark on this journey… don’t even hesitate! The path of Chakra dance is not just about finding joy in movement; it’s about rediscovering the joy of being authentically you, in every rhythm, in every step. It’s a reminder that true happiness and healing come from the fearless act of self-expression and the courage to embrace who we truly are.

So, let’s dance our way to healing, to freedom, to a life vibrantly lived. Let’s dance to remember, to forget, and to celebrate the incredible journey that is being uniquely, wonderfully us.
